What's next for Epcot 2024 and Beyond

They are going to slowly replace all the concrete around the world showcase and take 2-3 years to do it. Maybe mix in some water features?

    Unpopular opinions about the parks?

The last great, groundbreaking ride introduced to WDW was Toy Story Mania. This was the last ride that actually wow'ed me, everything else thereafter, not so much. The original version of Animal Kingdom Dinosaur (much more intense ride) was superior to the DL Indiana Jones ride.

News Star Tours to be updated with new adventures in 2024 at Walt Disney World

Because its better than the Millennium Falcon ride? The Falcon ride is terrible, you're in a space ship following a train on a random planet, seriously?

News Star Tours to be updated with new adventures in 2024 at Walt Disney World

Did they remove the Darth Vader opening? I know it's rare, but I'm fearing that its gone. This was the ONLY place to see Darth Vader, insanity, if they removed that, they are even more lost than I thought.

    Biggest new Disney grievance?

Early theme park entry and extra magic hours should not be perks, the parks used to open early, the whole park, and be open late for everyone. There are are so many resorts on Disney property now the number of early entry people is larger than ever and now they only open a handful of attractions...

Mission Space chopping block speculation? Do we trust this source?

They just built a space restaurant, this isn't going anywhere anytime soon, as it is firmly attached to the ride and the theme.

Why do you believe WDW has gone downhill?

One of the best examples, early entry. The parks just used to open early, all attractions at once. Now they only open certain rides early, and you have stay onsite to get the 'early entry'. Blatant money grab for inferior offerings. Early entry now is supposedly a perk, but the amount of early...

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

Dinosaur used to be an amazing ride that was exponentially more thrilling and actually scary when it 1st opened. It actually felt like a roller coaster as the movement of the vehicle was so violent. They seriously toned this ride down, there used to be some really good scares on this ride too...

News Zootopia and Moana Blue Sky concepts for Disney's Animal Kingdom

Simpsons really seems to fit with Universal, Disney should offer Universal some of the FOX IP's in exchange for the Marvel rights to use as they please. Or Disney could potentially use some of those FOX IP's to build a new park, it might work with a new park, but not the current Disney parks.

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

Either they build and continue dominance or they fade into 2# as Universal takes #1. It's pretty clear, you build and they will come as Universal keeps proving. Universal just has the ambition and bold decision making now. Company's too fearful to expand will always lose, time and again. I'm...

News Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterates his belief that park reservations are now an essential part of Disney's theme parks business

FYI, when Universal Studios built parks in Orlando Florida, Disney specifically built a new park in response. Universal Florida, Disney built MGM Stuidos, Islands of Adventure, Disney built Animal Kingdom. This last year WDW had the highest profits in the companies history and more and more over...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

Dirt, plants, and a bit of concrete will take another year? They should be building another actual attraction, meanwhile Universal is building perhaps the newest and best rides for the coming decade. What is Disney doing? Sitting on their hands counting their money. Every time Universal was...

Ok Honest Question here about Cosmic Rewind

I had more fun on the new raptor coaster at universal studios, and we got to ride that 3 times.

Ok Honest Question here about Cosmic Rewind

I used to never get motion sickness, rode any ride, like Mission Space, but Smugglers Run has always made me motion sick every time. Sometimes Everest in the dark going in reverse gives me a little bit of motion sickness. We rode Guardians and I didn't have any motion sickness, I would compare...

Let's be honest...is Carousel of Progress going to last the next five years?

They need to do something, WDW has a lot of aging attractions that need serious updates/upgrades. All the newer rides with lower ride capacities get slammed on the regular while these old attractions sit empty.

Why do we need Mission: SPACE at this point?

They don't need to be doing anymore tearing out rides to add new ones. I say they make an updated Horizons and put it in the empty walkway between old future world an the world showcase, where the new fevistal building was supposed to go. Remake Nemo with a living seas/muana update, update...

New Attraction and Country at Epcot World Showcase

Spain, Greece, and Switzerland. But something like that won't happen until new leadership arrives with vision and courage enough to take chances again. The bean counters aren't much for courage.

Where do the Dr Strange park rights lie?

Why is everyone chomping at the bit for re-themes? Demand new rides to increase park capacities, no more cheap re-themes

Where do the Dr Strange park rights lie?

Exactly, Star Tours is still the only good star wars ride. Who would want to get rid of the only place you get to see the greatest villain in all of cinema? Boggles the mind they don't use more Darth Vader. They need re-theme GE to Tattoine already.

Look,, if WDW is this crowded.. the OPEN A FIFTH PARK...

Just think for moment on the absurdity of not growing a business when there is all time high demand. Why did they ever build more than the Magic Kingdom? Along the lines of logic I've been reading they should have just kept raising prices for MK an never built other parks. At some point they...
