So, You Want to be an Imagineer - Season 19 Hype Thread

I was definitely big on the Imagineering strategy games with this and The Sole Imagineer back in the day, almost too much. Can't believe this was five years ago, though, wow. In all seriousness, glad to see that some of y'all haven't forgotten about me considering that my last...

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

In terms of losing my favorite attraction on property with a great theme song and some great storytelling? Super bummed. BUT, in terms of its necessity with trying to upend deeply rooted issues within our country? Absolutely, this is a wonderful move. Sure, the ride itself isn't explicitly...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Hi all. We’ll be visiting DHS tomorrow. While I’ve seen researching how to most effectively get a boarding group, I was wondering about something else as well. After watching the POVs, I was hoping to get a vehicle that goes in front of the AT-AT’s, as opposed to the side. Obviously there’s no...

Imagineering on WDWMagic: A Short Hello to an Old Studio

Also! If anyone remembers the days of the ICS and the annual Elite Eight... that feels like forever ago. :bookworm:

Imagineering on WDWMagic: A Short Hello to an Old Studio

Welcome back! I myself have lost touch with these boards but it’s always great when you pop back in. Definitely have fond memories of these boards circa 2012 to 2015/16, and it’s always nice to come back here every now and then to lurk.

Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed

With CM’s training so soon, what’s the likelihood of soft openings? Obviously there’s no guarantee, but we’ll be in the parks 2/29-3/2, so we’d be bummed to miss out on it. I figured they’d be doing softs before the 4th by then right?

I like the thematic ideas, but the names are kind of awkward. Cautiously optimistic.

say what you want about their choice to do a musical number, but this is a pretty unique soundtrack. We haven't seen something like this for a daytime parade. Closest I can think of is Paint the Night.

    News D23 Expo 2019

I remember how exciting this panel has been the last two D23's, so am definitely looking forward to this again. Fingers crossed for at least a few things that we haven't heard about before. The main street theater announcement (rest in peace) last time was such a pleasant surprise.

First Time Trip Summer Timing Advice Needed...

I would highly recommend doing this! We stayed at the Swan this past summer and loved the easy accessibility between the Boardwalk, Epcot, and DHS. The Swan is much quieter than the Dolphin, so if that's your speed I would definitely recommend.

When to book for early 2020?

As @mattchu758 said, Spring Break usually lasts between mid-March and late April. But, a quick note to add on, many Northeastern schools have an additional break mid-to-late February that sees an increase in crowds at the parks!

Wow, they really nailed the rock work with this one. The slightly faded painting on the mountain further back really adds so much depth.
