News New 'Disney Thrills Ticket' offers low price for 2 or 3 day Walt Disney World theme park admission

I'm not sure why this deal is surprising ... it's not as good a deal as offered in prior years and is during what is always the slowest time period for Disney. I wish I could travel this time of year, and take advantage of a deal like this ... but alas, I don't meet the requirements.

News The Art of Shaving to permanently close at Disney Springs

Big fan of Disney Springs and the curated set of restaurants, bars, and stores. There are still plenty of Disney-owned stores ... and then a great set of unique retailers, many of which have Disney exclusive merchandise at the DS locations that they don't offer in their other locations. It's a...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I'm enjoying the construction updates, and what I'm seeing. I'm looking forward to seeing more! Going all in and making more dramatic changes without doing a "book report" Fantasyland attraction is a noble effort. We know the ride will be fun - long, action-packed, and immersive ... that's...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

I love to hear that the little kids are loving JOW. Of course it's important that it appeals to that set, so kudos to WDI for creating an attraction that resonates with them AND older kids AND adults. It's a joke to compare this to anything at Legoland. No shade intended, but I enjoyed...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

I don't remember the "design a ride" arm thing, but that looks like a failing mall attraction. Certainly fun, but only for the dozen or so guests an hour that would be able to enjoy it. JoW, on the other hand, looks beautiful, and is a family experience that can be enjoyed by hundreds an hour...

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

The amount of time is inexcusable. I have no idea of the budget, but it's surely a ridiculous amount to get what we did. There is still so much at EPCOT that needs attention. None of those things can be changed, unfortunately, and it's tough to look at what we are getting and not be tainted by...

Summer House on the Lake coming to Disney Springs in 2023

I'm pleasantly impressed - just seeing the exterior photos and I can imagine feeling like I'm taken out of Disney/Disney Springs. Seems like a place we'd definitely enjoy, especially for brunch or lunch, and then for an evening drink and snacks. Excited to see how well it incorporates views of...

    Trespassing third parties

It's great that Disney offers a DAS program. It's unfortunate folks abuse the system - third party actors and guests on their own. It hurts those that need it. I do think DAS could use a revamp to help curtail abuse, though. I'm fortunate not to need the system, so am open to feedback from...

Journey of Water featuring Moana coming to Epcot

I'm seeing reports that it's standby today, which is great! This really feels like something you happen upon or show up for, without a wait - at least that is how it was intended. It looks like it can handle more people than what I expected, which is also good news. I bet this will be...

    Tron queue damage

This is sad - how people don't respect things. It ends up costing us all - for repairs and/or losing nice details. I was on a cruise and saw kids vandalizing halloween decor while parents looked on. Same for how nice furniture was treated like a jungle gym. I get it - it's vacation. But if...

New wine cart at the Italy Pavilion

    When money is tight.......

I volunteer at lots of events because I care about the cause, enjoy the people I'll be with, and/or because it's a fun atmosphere. The idea of volunteering is not to get a payment. I'm not sure I'd volunteer for this event, although I'm sure for many it is a great time. The optics of removing...

California Grill Brunch??? Any news when or if it will come back???

I would love to see this return, too. Fingers crossed!

News Return of the Walt Disney World tram fleet tracker

At this stage, free or half of parking at these parks would seem fair ... and that would give some incentive to WDW for getting the tram system fully operational again, as it should. Not that I think this would every happen, but it's what should happen.

    Trip Report 6 In 1!!

Long time reader, first time poster. I'm really enjoying following along on your trips. Love your WDW touring style - rides, shopping, pool, good food, and drinks! You do it right!

News Disney hikes the price of Mickey Bars and Dole Whip along with hundreds of other food and beverage items at Walt Disney World

I've never brought in outside food/snacks or dined outside the bubble. But this, on top of all the other nickel & diming, has me changing my plans for the next trip. Still TBD if we'll even stay on site, but we'll definitely be eating a few meals offsite and doing a grocery order. We'll spend...

    Anyone dislike the volggers content?

To answer the OP question, I can say that I like some of the Disney vloggers content - some more than others. My experience in the parks or at the hotels have not been negatively affected, and I have seen a couple of them doing their thing during my WDW visits. You can certainly find things...

Ice Cream coming back to Boardwalk

I agree. I still wonder if this will become the "second" location of Salt & Straw, with a refresh here once they open their Disney Springs location?

News UP! A Great Bird Adventure Getting A Rewrite

No need to line-up early. We were there Thanksgiving week when the parks were packed. The theater ended up being pretty full, but I think you could arrive 5-10 minutes in advance and you'd still be fine. At least that was our experience.

News Disney KiteTails coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom October 1

Watched Kite Tails on both days we were at Animal Kingdom this week - from the seating area at Flame Tree BBQ - once w/ lunch from Flame Tree and once with snacks from Eight Spoon and Kamal's. We all enjoyed the show and found it to be a nice surprise. The size of the kites took us by surprise...
