    Hurricane Irma

There is a lot to be said about this. I have a nice red plastic disney name tag from dining with an imagineer (before they stoped giving them out :() and I wear it whenever I goto the parks. Add some confident/polite voice and a two finger point and I can get stalled crowds to move 9 times...

Duh! Thanks, TGIF. I am certain that they can move the cars off the track, they have to for repairs and whatnot.

I believe IASW could be shuttered in events like these. I always thought it weird how it was situated and now it kinda makes sense. I don't think there would be anything catastrophic if queue for Pooh took a hit, they could still run the ride. Help me... my brain is failing PP??

    Hurricane Irma

Yes this was the same for us.... I was not being clear and was only referring to the 'Eviction' trip, not the arrival :)

    Hurricane Irma

Ah... reception... should have gone there rather than the luggage desk. We still had one at AoA in May. It would be glorious if they replaced them with Magic Bands.

Resort TV - HDMI ports? Apps?

Apple TV ;) Let me know how it works.... I have had issues downloading iTunes content from AoA before... almost like it is rate limited. I have never attempted streaming.

3 Disney Park Rumors - True or False

Agreed.... The ceiling in small world is a suspended ceiling that is very high without much to grab on to and, as far as I know, doesn't have access from guest areas.

Well the driver was nice... but more of a "I can't let you get on without a letter" which I understand. It was the baggage people who just didn't seem like they knew how to handle the situation. Which seems odd to me... we can't be the only family that misplaces their letter right before...

    Hurricane Irma

I had a related ME "experience". After a week I had misplaced our ME letter which resulted in a big fight between the wife and I... I figured "ok it will be a minor inconvenience... but I am sure people lose these all the time... they will have a plan in place".... man it took them forever to...

Alleged Sexual Assault at Animal Kingdom?

Agreed.... but it was apparently enough to warrant a lifetime ban, or at least that is what they told OP, but I don't really see them lying just to make the OP feel better.

I bet they will silently rename that boat if the storm is as bad as predicted.

Alleged Sexual Assault at Animal Kingdom?

FYI the reddit OP seems legit and not a troll. They followed up with some more information: I don't know the policy for posting off site links here, but the original thread was from two days ago and titled: "I have extreme gratitude for Disney Security, Management, and Cast Members tonight"

    Hurricane Irma

I can see how people who are not familiar with nuclear plants would confuse the issue and assume that because the plants are cutting from the grid that they will lose power. This is key... the thing you don't want to happen is for a HPWR nuclear plant to lose power to the cooling pumps... that...

    Disney Villain Secrets

Use the My Disney Experience app. It will show you where and for how long the character should be appearing.

Have you found any secret, hidden, or fun things at Disney World?

When you go down the drop on PoTC you are actually going under the railroad. Do you know where Walt's window is?

    Aladdin's Flying Carpets

According to my Keys to the Kingdom guide last year: it is automated and just aimed to have a predictable spot. Another reason: you can avoid if you want. Some people don't want to get wet and will notice the water and avoid it. If a CM was aiming that could people off.

Best Disney tip you ever got!

Yes, but: #1 it is generally cheaper/easier than shipping the items back. and #2 You are only paying for two suitcases once, not twice. If you don't have little ones or don't buy alot of souvenirs then this might not apply, I tend to buy alot of apparel so it works great.

    Splash Mountain falling apart (literally?)

While I am all for ride quality.... I am weird and think "why does that never happen to me?!?!" I don't want SM to be shutdown but how cool would it be to get to be evacuated through the ride?

Best Disney tip you ever got!

This is good to know. The past two times we had stayed at the Coronado; however decided to do the Caribbean Beach in March for a change. In September we are staying at AoA and will probably do the same thing.
