    Construction at the poly

I was thinking the percentage discount should be higher at Poly during this time. Like if most deluxes go for 35% off, have Poly at 45% off with a disclaimer right at booking time about the construction and obstruction of premium views. Maybe also temporarily get rid of TPV rooms and make them LV.

    Construction at the poly

Or reduce the rates for the time being. It's $1,200 per night to stay in Hawaii over Easter with a view of the construction.

Regular Dining Plan vs. Deluxe Dining Plan

In your long list of table-service restaurants you want to try, do any include 2-credit meals? If so, I'd go with the deluxe plan. We've done both plans and prefer the deluxe plan because we got to try a bunch of 2-credit restaurants, and we also saw 2 shows, which are 2 credits. Some days we...

    new pin code

Thanks ~ that is still very hopeful! Normally they are pretty clear on their black-out dates, so this is promising. I sure hope I get that PIN.

    new pin code

Are you serious -- straight through Easter without blackout? This would be the first deal at Easter I've seen, except my current AAA discount. Gives me hope we can stay at a deluxe afterall!!

    How difficult are split-stays?

Splits work just fine, no worries. And you are doing it the best way -- Epcot resort and a monorail resort. Best of both worlds. When you check out of YC and leave your luggage at Bell Services, just remember to pack any necessities in your bag/backpack that you carry in the park. That way...

    Columbus day weekend question

We've been to disney the last 3 yrs over columbus day weekend and it's not that crazy. Higher crowds were noticeable on the weekend, but nothing to be concerned about.

Bringing our 15 month old for his first trip!

We have LOTS of experience with babies and toddlers in disney as we have twins and have taken them to disney since they were 7 months old. First, bring your own comfortable stroller. Preferably one that reclines with a canopy. A happy child equals happy parents! Second, some of our fondest...

Where do you draw the line of affordable?

I look for ways to get deals, such as the Southwest Credit Card deal that gives 50,000 bonus points for signing up -- that's enough for a few roundtrip flights. I just booked a trip using this card and spent $70 total for 4 roundtrip flights. Also, accumulate points on the disney visa and...

    Best steakhouse on property

We've had great filet mignon at both LeCellier and California Grill. My kids are steak lovers and they actually beg to go to Ohana dinner just for the steak! It's definitely not a steakhouse, but they sure do serve good steak....

Am I the only one who finds Stormalong Bay to be overated?

Hi BWI Fan, I think SAB is great for young children. As a parent, that pool has kept my kids so very happy that it has made the BC our favorite resort. The sandy section does not impress me much, as an adult, but for the young kids it is.... Awesome. My kids sit and play, build castles...

    Airfare is insane right now

We normally fly in and out of Buffalo, but yes our flights were WAY higher than normal for both August and September. Like over $600 roundtrip for one person. So I checked Pittsburgh and flights are pretty cheap for nowadays and I snagged them. $114 each way, plus the free baggage, SWA.

What are you paying for your airfare?

$114 each way, Pittsburgh and MCO, August, on SWA. Bags fly for free.

    Your Favourite Resort! But Why?

Beach Club for the location and pool. We love to end our day by walking into epcot for a dinner in a country. To us, nothing is more relaxing than doing this. If we're there late enough, we watch Illuminations and then simply walk back to BC. It's a peaceful and beautiful walk. Then we...

Need Opinions-Poly or Yacht? Or Both!

I say split it up. The kids are old enough that the resort change shouldn't be much trouble. When we do split stays, we stay in the monorail resort first and concentrate on mainly MK park during that stay. We also dine at the monorail resorts during that stay. Next we move to an Epcot resort...

    Norway vs. Cinderella's Table

I agree with this 100%. We love the lunch at Akershus -- both adults and both kids equally. The cold buffet is almost enough food for the meal considering we take a little salad, rolls, and kids like the meats too. Then our meals served have always been outstanding. Not a ton of food, but...

Can't believe the deal I got at the BC!

Awesome rate! No cabanas at BC. However, there is a "high" section where you take a staircase to get to and it's mainly adults up there. It's quieter. You can stand at the sides and look down at the pool area.

    Contemporary or Polynesian?!

We've stayed at both CR and Poly with theme park views. They are very different views. CR gives you the entire castle from top to bottom, along with the rest of MK. Poly gives you the lagoon plus the top part of the castle. Both are nice views, but very different. Just to put a wrench in...
