    May 2021

Planning to take my family down literally one year from now. I have Disney $$$s expiring in November, so I was thinking of booking in August. If I book and then have to "tweak" the dates, would there be a fee?

Not sure where to post this

But I'm looking to write to Disney for a merchandise idea that I have, that would be great for them to have in time for the 50th anniversary next year (when my family plans to go). Does anyone know of where I could write with my idea? Thanks in advance for any help!!

    Cashing in Disney Visa $$$

So I have about $550 on my Disney Visa, some expiring in 2020. We don't plan to go until 2021. Is it possible to cash in those Disney $$$ for Disney gift cards? I know this has probably been asked a hundred times, but I'm too lazy to research it.

    Disney on a BUDGET

So we have some home improvements we want to make this coming year, along with a nearly 3 week trip to Italy in July-August. We are headed to Florida in mid-late January for my mom's 100th birthday celebration. Is it possible to say spend 5 nights/3 days in the park for 2 adults for $1000? We...

What's the ONE THING (or more than one thing) you've never done at WDW

17 trips from 1981 to 2015 --- never went to Tom Sawyer Island, Pleasure Island at night or played mini-golf! Regret that we didn't go to Pleasure Island. But may go to TSI and play mini golf next time.

The Water Taxi to The Boathouse

I read that it cost $125 for 3 people to take the water taxi to the The Boathouse. Is that true?

    Maybe An October Trip??

So my mom will be coming "home" to CT from Florida for my nieces wedding, and then we'll do an early 100th birthday celebration for her before she heads back down to Florida. The plan is for me and my DH to fly back with her, spend a few days in Delray Beach, and then head up to WDW. I've...

    A Disney Retirement Community???

Haven't posted or been on this site in months. But just yesterday I was reading that Jimmy Buffet has partnered with an organization to build Margaritaville themed 55+ retirement communities, starting with the first one in Daytona Beach. I could just imagined everyone running around there...

    I'm So Disney on Facebook

Saw some photos of a couple that got married on Characters in Flight. Obviously a short ceremony with limited guests, but what a cool idea to be "on top of the WORLD with the ONE YOU LOVE".

Things that used to be ...

I was cleaning out my dresser and found buried on the bottom a photo taken in 1981 (or 83) with my nephew and his then girlfriend in old fashion costumes. Also have one taken in 1991 with my DH and DS, age 16 months. I wonder why they stopped taken those. And they took them in color, but I...

Building up Disney $$$ but ...

we have no plans to go to the parks for a long while (was just there at Christmas). So if we hit that five year mark when $$$s begin to expire and don't have plans, can I get the rewards card and then just buy gift cards at a Disney Store and just build those up?

A Disney Trip … the perfect length of stay … is

For me it’s two weeks. We only got to do this twice, 2001 and 2002. The DSs were 6 and 11 in ‘01, and 7 and 12 in ‘02. We flew out from NYC on Saturday and arrived early afternoon. Ironically my sister-in-law, mother-in-law and kids drove from CT, leaving Friday morning and arriving around...

Why can't you catch a bus from the Parks to Disney Springs?

I seem to think you used to be able to, but now you have to catch a bus back to your resort first, then to Disney Springs. I'm thinking maybe this is to prevent people (staying off property) from parking at Disney Springs and then catching a bus to a park, thereby avoiding the parking fee.

    Mama Melrose help ...

So we ate there on Christmas Eve and I had pasta in a cascading bowl. My DH & I want to find out the size of these bowls, so we can order them. Anyhow know how I can contact Mama Melrose directly or is someone going there soon and can ask for me? Thanks.

Disney Visa, Discover Card & Target Red Card = Almost Free Trip

I posted something similar about this before, but its amazing how if you have the time (true it was 6 years since our last trip), you can go to the WORLD for practically free. My $4875 trip cost me $175 OOP. I just got a Target Red Card this past summer and just before we left, I purchased...

Heard an interest story during our "Resort Hopping" day on 12.21

So we were at the WORLD from December 17-26. On our one day that we did not go to any parks, but instead resort hopped to see decorations, while at the POLY, my DH sat down on a bench and had a conversation with a retired woman (about 72 yrs old I think). She was there with her sister and her...

    Resort Check-in Online Question

So, by 12 noon today, we'll be heading to the WORLD, and yes from Connecticut, we are probably reaching the DC area during rush hour traffic. Question is ... I got an email saying I could check in early on-line. Should I do that tomorrow morning, when we are just about reaching Florida. I am...

So we are heading to the World next week, and my trip is paid off, so

I am wondering, can I purchase gift cards (at Target for the 5% discount) now and use them to pay off charges that I accumulate during my trip while I am there?
