    Disney Adult Crocs

Yeah, good point. Crocs are more solid construction, albeit a bit "ugly". Seriously though, who cares how they look if they work for you :)

    Disney Adult Crocs

You can try TOMS shoes if you don't like Crocs. They have a cool policy where you buy a pair, and the company donates a pair to a child in need. It's like tomsshoes.com or something like that.

Staying as Multiple Resorts During One Vacation

I've done it. We were there for 2 weeks and stayed at 3 different resorts. We started off at Port Orleans, then bounced to Coronado, and ended the trip at the Caribbean Beach. It was awesome, and the bell service moves all of your luggage for you. It's worth doing if you are there for a...

    New DownTown Disney Stores

That's cool. It was a bit disturbing seeing vacant storefronts there of all places.

Biggest Change since 1998? Must See?

Damn, I didn't realize that much has changed since then. That's a pretty short timeframe...

What resorts have a good view of the castle?

My bet would be the Contemporary. It is all about the angle though for the fireworks. Same thing in Disneyland. They are fired off from way behind the castle. If you're off angle, the parallax messes with the whole show.

2 Week Vacation and Possible Lay-off

I totally agree here. There are many variables. However, did you, or could you still purchase travel insurance? If you can, that might help you hedge your bets. I'd check to see if you can do that. It's scary when you have a trip planned and feel like your job is threatened. I hope that...

Suggestions: 4 days w/out kiddos- Where to stay?

I agree. I did Coronado Springs a couple of times with no kids and LOVED it. It is my favorite out of the moderate resorts. There are semi-private pools in each cluster, and the main pool is fun. I love the ambiance of the place as well. My next favorite would be Port Orleans due to the...

Which ride did you ride for the first time and get the most scared?

Yeah, those slides are pretty crazy! I remember a water park in NJ that was called Action Park. The whole park was one big liability machine. It was FUN, but every time I went I left with bruises and scrapes. Luckily, BB is more tame that that place was, but the Summit slide is definitely...

Which ride did you ride for the first time and get the most scared?

Mine was Countdown to Extinction cause it reminded me a whole lot of the movie Aliens. I hear that they have made it less scary in the last few years though, and now call it Dinosaur.

    Why...

Wise this is, Master Yoda. Judge people for where they go on vacation, we should not. For our ally is the Mouse, and a powerful ally it is. It surrounds us in the media, penetrates us in our memories, and binds the galaxy together in happiness. Nothing wrong with that, there is. :D

Bob Iger mentioned in TIME story about CEO bonuses on the rise in 2010

As long as we as a society allow this to happen, and even reward it, we can't really complain. My issue is with using stock price as an indicator of executive performance. The article mentions that in a world of bubbles, stock price is not always indicative, or even directly correlated to...

    disney 5th and 6th gate?

This is all very interesting. I don't see Disney buying, but I hope someone does. Universal is a great park(s). It's all speculation at this point, but damn interesting...

Best Disney tip you ever got!

For me it was choosing a spot near Paris for Illuminations in EPCOT, then exiting the park toward the Boardwalk. This saved us tons of time waiting for the buses in front of EPCOT, not to mention the crowds near the front exit.

Dive booties could work well too. I didn't think of those.

where do you start to become an imagineer?

That's about it. Engineering is key, but there are also artists working there as well. There also appears to be crossover between fields like aerospace and WDI (SoCal is/was an aerospace hub). Go for engineering and focus on an aspect that you enjoy. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering would...

    Footwear at Disney water parks

I've done entire trips to WDW in sandals, and just going barefoot at the water parks and pools. That said, some places can be a bit rough, and Teva type sandals can mark surfaces (the 5.10 climbing rubber soles), so that's probably why they want you to take them off on the slides, among other...
