    Hurricane Irma

We're supposed to fly into Fort Lauderdale on 9/15. I bought travel insurance when I booked the trip in July. Hopefully we'll be covered in case the region gets hit badly enough to delay flights/close hotels through next weekend. The waiting is stressing me out a bit but not much we can do. We...

    Fort Lauderdale/Miami

Thank you for the info!!!! The day we were planning on driving to Miami is a Sunday so I think we are going to park at the museum all day and maybe try the free metro train thing (cannot think of the name right now) up near Wynwood and Little Havana. One thing that bums me out is that it doesn't...

    Fort Lauderdale/Miami

(I know this section of the forum is for other Orlando attractions but I feel weird putting this in the Chit Chat thread - feel free to move if this isn't the ideal place for this thread) We're thinking of taking a non-theme park vacation  in September and going to Fort Lauderdale/Miami...

My Unpopular WDW Opinion - post yours!

You lucky duck! If I wasn't such a baby about temperatures higher than 90 degrees, I'd probably move down there.

My Unpopular WDW Opinion - post yours!

I'm guessing you live in the area then? I think since I live North and stay on property for Disney and Universal, they both feel like magical vacation bubbles to me. One is just a larger bubble! And at Uni, we walk everywhere whereas we have to utilize the bus at WDW. Which I don't actually...

My Unpopular WDW Opinion - post yours!

I think that Dinosaur is far superior to the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. And after going to Universal this past year, I now hate how spread out WDW is and how long it takes to get from place to place. I don't understand the vinylmation or tsum tsum collectibles...I prefer to spend money...

Starting to plan a trip for March, fingers crossed it'll be open that soon.

Busch Gardens Tampa - worth the drive?

Interesting. I looked them up online but only thought SheiKra and Montu looked worth it. Are the ride videos not doing the other ones justice? I'm also not much of an inverted coaster fan - they just don't do anything for me.

Busch Gardens Tampa - worth the drive?

Thinking of a trip to the Orlando area to visit a friend this spring. We did Universal and Disney in May and September, so we're looking to try something new. We would like to spend a day at Sea World for Mako and they have the 2 park deals where you can also go to Busch Gardens in Tampa. But it...

How much would you pay to stay in Cinderella's castle suite?

Ditto. One of my favorite things about vacationing is walking around the resort at night and exploring, maybe swimming before the pool closes or just relaxing on a bench. There's something I love about balmy Florida nights. So as beautiful as the castle accommodations look, I think I'd go stir...

Disney World and Disneyland, California get to trade attractions. What deals do you want to?

I'd trade Hall of Presidents for Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

What attraction quotes do you use in everyday life?

This one is actually from California Adventure, but my husband and I always say, "I know you're in a HURRY HURRY HURRY but for your SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY..." And from a bartender at Trader Sam's "WE'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!" followed by "...We made it...." And we sing the COP song. Always.

    Hurricane Season?

Buy a poncho. Enough of the rides are inside, so even if it is pouring, there is still plenty to do.

Can I use Magical Express if my friend books the room

Quick question about the Magical Express. I am thinking about surprising my husband with a weekend trip to Orlando for his birthday. Our friend works at Disney and is going to book the hotel for the 3 of us to stay in. Can my husband and I use Magical Express from the airport to the Disney...

    Dealing with the heat

I wouldn't recommend swimming laps in the hotel pool and laying down on the hot concrete to dry off, but wouldn't jumping in, staying submerged in the water for a few minutes, and then heading back to the hotel room with the AC on cool you off?

    Well, that goes without saying.

    Botanicus in E.T. ride

Weird question: On the E.T. ride, what does Botanicus say to E.T. once the vehicles arrive on the Green Planet? My husband and I rode it 5 times and still have no clue. E.T., go to tiki toot? E.T. go to tea tree kit? No idea. Can't find a ride script online. Help, I will never be able to fall...

Talk me into the rip ride rockit

I love roller coasters but I hated this ride. I am a fairly tiny person and I couldn't manage to brace myself well enough to keep my head/body from rattling all over the place. I walked away with a nasty headache both times I rode it (should have learned my lesson from the first time I rode it...

Skull Island: Reign of Kong from construction to opening

Well, my vacation has come and gone and no Kong for me. Ahh well, it was a long shot. Time to plan my next trip and at least I'll be able to ride Kong and Hulk. It looked great over the wall though!
