    Disney in May?

We loved May! Warm, but not too hot and not crowded, although we avoided Memorial weekend.

Covid Vaccine Updates and General Discussion About Vaccines

I’m 61 with a neurological problem and supposedly in the same risk category as my 21 year old daughter. Make no sense to me. Vaccination mid-2021!

    Horse gets tangled with Balloon

I'm sure they are trained to protect guests at all costs. My first thought was they were not very experienced horse people. No amount of physical strength can contain an out of control horse. Until the leader showed up and put her hand on the horse's neck to calm it, it appears that is what they...

News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I've read thru nearly this entire thread and couldn't find the answer, so I'm hoping someone can help. If the park officially opens at 7:00am, what time do you recommend arriving to get in a BG? Is it possible to catch a resort bus that early?

    Favorite animatronic?

My favorites are the 3 guys on the wall in Country Bears. I usually miss most of the show because I'm just watching them and listening to the noisy old parts in them. It makes me laugh every time when I see them keep talking and laughing even though they got muted when the show was shortened.

News Dragon caught fire in today’s Festival of Fantasy parade

We saw the parade a couple of days ago with no dragon. It's been a while since I've seen it but I think they had the 7 dwarfs where it would normally be. Not the same for sure.

With The great movie ride gone what have we lost?

If not for TGMR I would never have sought out and watched Casablanca, Footlight Parade, or Singing in the Rain for the first time. Now Casablanca is one of my family's all time favorites. I doubt I'm the only one.

    lost magicbands

I have never lost one myself but have found a child sized on each of our past 2 trips. When we were at Typhoon Lagoon in June, a CM told me that lots of them fell off there.

Question for AP holder frequent visitors

That's great news! I hope it works for me too. Thanks for testing it!

Question for AP holder frequent visitors

Earlier this year I had another 7 day stay onsite. I tested the system with this future trip in mind. I booked 7 days of FP+ at 60 days, then tried to book more for a hypothetical trip within the same time as this upcoming real trip. The system would only allow me to book one extra day without...

Question for AP holder frequent visitors

I understand the 7 day limit on FP+ for AP holders. I have an on site trip Thanksgiving week ( 7 nights) for which I get 8 days FP+ and can book those at 60 days. 17 days prior to that trip I am going to a conference and staying off site for 5 days. I plan to visit the parks all 5 days. I will...

Rollaway Beds at Wilderness Lodge Villas - Pipe Dream or Possibility?

Weather Lady, perhaps it's too late for you to switch to a lockoff, but the studios that are currently being renovated at the VWL are having a small twin-size murphy bed (like POR's) installed. That might give you the extra bed you need.

Disney lets child molester employee escape

If my child or grandchild were molested on a cruise ship before it even left port there is no way we would be on that ship when it set sail, especially knowing the pedophile was still out there somewhere. If they wouldn't let us off, they'd be calling the police to arrest me!

    Upgrading Park Passes

We'll be heading to the world in 5 days! We purchased the "free" dining package with 2 day base tickets. We will be upgrading to 9 day hoppers but are considering adding the Water Parks and More because the cost difference is so minimal. Can I upgrade the tickets more than once (once when we...

    dvc help needed asap

Okay, I'm jealous. You get to have fun tomorrow and I just have to go to work! I dont think DVC is a waste of money, depending on your situation, but I wouldn't jump into it. If you are happy with staying at POP, it might not be worth it for you. We went on the tour, asked lots of questions...

Pool games: Take them or leave them?

Last time we stayed at POFQ the games were so loud we could not converse without yelling. Sadly, on our next trip we are staying at POR simply for the option of a quiet pool where we can read a book or just relax by the pool. If they'd pull the plug on the mic we would be back at POFQ in a...

Need Honest Opinons... rent a car or Not to!

I really like having a car, but like the others, I would absolutely not pay $600 for a one week rental. If you get stuck somewhere and just can't stand to wait any longer you could always take a cab. You could do that quite a few times for less than $600.

    Starbucks coming to Disney parks

I generally go to WDW during slower times of the year, so I've never seen the Noodle Station in MK open. I think that would be a great place for a Starbucks. Enough out of the way that it wouldn't be a bother to those not interested in it, but a nice covered area with lots of seating and restrooms.

    Embarrassing Disney moments!

SoupBone reminded me of a trip to Disneyland when I was a kid in the early 70's. Some kids threw trash from the Skyway and it hit my Dad on the head. He was so mad he went to where the ride exited, found the kids and gave them a scolding. I was about 10 yrs. old and sooo embarrassed! Now I...

    When to go next!!!!!!

We went the last week of September in 2009. It was sooo hot and humid we were dragging. We would never go again at that time simply because we are not acclimated to that type of humidity. The crowds were quite light however and rooms cheaper due to being in Value season. In 2010 we went the last...
