It was so cool the first few years it opened when they would actually do Indy car races there. You could hear the cars all the way back in the Magic Kingdom. They also used to display a few of the cars at the TTC which made for cool pics. Now I want to go hunting through old pics.

Part of their design problem with Soarin' was that they didn't want to have riders go up stairs or elevators to different levels for load/ unload. Not only for staffing, but for guests ease of access and time that it would take. Granted that was almost 20 years ago, and things have changed. But...
