Just a quick question that I think should go here. . . . I am needing a lanyard for my id badge at work (I teach school at a Jr. High) I was thinking of getting a pin trading lanyard and using that since it is something different. Any idea of where I can get one outside of ebay? Thanks!
What part of South Texas? If you are going from Houston the map says you can do it in one long 14 hour day. . . probably 17 hours in real time depending on stops, etc. Obviously if you are going from the valley you would stop in Houston or Beaumont. A little more detail would help. But if it is...
I was there this past October (6 - 12), it rained pretty much every day. But we remembered to pack our disposable ponchos, and just went with the flow. The only hard part was trying to wait for a parade or fireworks in the rain, luckily it would always let up right before they started though. Enjoy!
With an end to that can we move on and talk more about the refurb? When I was there I noticed there need to be a new film, it was a bit scratchy for my taste. Can't they install digital projects so the films look brand new every showing (Epcot, cough cough). . . .just a thought.
Greetings All --
My wife and I (first timers), just got back late last night from our 7 day stay at Wilderness Lodge. Below is a trip report (I am still working on uploading pictures). But to answer an earlier thread our first ride ever was Haunted Mansion (Rode it at dusk, very very cool!) I...
Just wanted to drop a note before heading to the airport. Thanks for all the help in planning our first trip. Almost a year in the making. Now off to the airport!

Thanks for the help. I think we will go DHS by bus, then boardwalk by boat. I want to travel in the most interesting ways possible. My goal for the week is to use the bus system as little as possible. Boats, monorails, and walking it is.
We are staying at Wilderness lodge and are planning on eating at Spoodles one night on the boardwalk then heading back out to parks in the late evening. So the question is. . . .
How do I get to Spoodles from Wilderness lodge using only resort transportation? I do not want to use a...
Here's the Finalist for our first ride ever!
Haunted Mansion - Might want to wait until dark just to make it cooler
Splash Mountain - Sounds as though this would be a good one, and we really don't mind a wait
POTC - We liked the movies okay, will we really like the ride?
Train - The only...
My wife and I are leaving Oct. 6th for our first trip. We arrive in Orlando and are taking DME to our hotel (Wilderness Lodge). We plan on taking the boat to the Magic Kingdom that day (mid afternoon) and spending the day there. So the question is, what should our first ride ever at Disney be? I...
October
I actually posted this in trip planning a few days ago. We booked on our Disney visa for Oct. 6 - 12. Wilderness lodge woods view. After we got this code the other day we called and they added the free dining as well as returning over $300 onto our card from the room payment. This will...
It's been a while since I posted, but my first trip is only 17 days away! We got an email today from our Disney Visa that gave a code for free dining and room discounts. When we called to apply the code we ended up recieving a $300 discount on our room (Wilderness Lodge Woods View) + Free...
Some changes based on response and rebudgetting staying at WL, Parkhoppers included, downtime at resorts not reflected, but planning on laying low on afternoons. Dropped V&A's due to time constraints with that and California Grill. Any thoughts? reservations due on Wed (4-9)
Monday October...
We are not showing it, the assumption is that because of the time of year, it will be relatively light crowds allowing us to be flexible, the kick is having to make dining reservations
Didn't know about bakery, obviously will be changing.. . . Backstage Safari is a 3 hour behind the scenes tour of Animal Kingdom (how they take care of the animals, etc. . . .)it is a paid tour.
we have hoppers, just putting what the major focus of each day is.. . . I figured with it being a slow time I could be able to cover several a day if wanted and have more relax time. . . .
Another Itenerary to Destroy!
First time trip coming up in October. Just me and the wife (26). Take a look at itenerary below and critique/destroy/change. Reservations for dining are due next week so any help would be appreciated:shrug:

my response is "crazy awesome!" if you have the money to spend (don't forget gas money and food money) then I say go for it, for 2 students on a weekend you should be fine in my opinion if you don't mind missing a few things (shows, parades, etc)
far be it from me to be a downer. . .. .but I would make sure the money is in the bank before I went any further ... but thats just me (by the way you should really check this out www.daveramsey.com we started using it for financial planning and it has really paid off)
