    Monorail Accident

Late late Concourse after Epcot is closed is often manned by 3 people if 3 trains are on the Epcot beam. Concourse will get 2 trains as theirs. Somebody swaps out to work platform. Almost all the traffic is going to MK, the later park. The unload side doesn't require anybody there directly...

    Monorail Accident

I agree. Ridership in the billions. Who can boast such a safety record? Disney will fix this.

    Monorail Accident

2 overruns. 3rd is a strike out. It's no longer for a whole career. The union considered that too unfair to people with seniority. There is an expiration but it's long. Deadman would have activated.

    Monorail Accident

Maybe because they were worried about getting the driver and the guests out ASAP.

You'll all find out in due time what happened. The important thing is that we lost one of our own tonight. What a horrible 4th :(

    Monorail Accident

The cabs extend over the undercarriage. Pretty much just fiberglass plus some light support. With some 80 tons behind the pilot it would take hardly any speed. It does. It has a MBS (Motion Block-Light) system which is standard for electric commuter trains. Disney calls it a MAPO system for...

    Monorail Accident

It was on Epcot. The trains were towed because different pictures show them at different places. They moved the trains into Concourse. The primary holdpoint into Concourse is 209 which is right over Sleepy. I never heard of the MAPO system failing like that and neither have the guys who have...

    Monorail Accident

This is horrible news! I keep wondering WHY. Someone had to be in MAPO override. I never heard of the MAPO system failing on its own. I left monorails a year ago, but good chance I know who it was :(

    Not So Magic Kingdom question

Park 1 is a relatively tame backstage area, not going to see much even without the wheeled planter barricades. But it does go against MSUSA's design purpose. It was open every night for the past week it seems. IMO it was nice because you are not required to go that direction and that holidays...

    Monorail

Had all 12 running on Thanksgiving! :) Was amazing to see all 12 out, especially since one was always in shop being refitted. After Purple's release, another train has yet to undergo the lean-rail refit; leaving Black, Yellow, Red, Green, and Coral with the stanchion for now. The new...

    1986 monorail fire

Yes, MUCH safer. Layers of safety. Plus, the new LMCU2 displays give much more diagnostic information. Although, I won't get into any specifics or details. Also, if you're at the TTC on the Epcot line platform, look at the end of the platform facing the ticket booths. That blue tarp covers a...

Scheduled to Work the Day After my Program!?!?!?!?!?!!?

They screwed up... pure and simple. Even working the last day is insane. I am not going to stick around without a bed. My flight will be that day. How can your manager not even know you? Don't you have a contact number for your CP liaison and/or homeroom manager?

    Guest Communications??

Your best bet is to contact a Guest Service Manager (GSM) of the departmental area of concern. Go to Guest Relations and ask to speak to a GSM of TTC Parking for example.
