News 'Disney Enchantment' coming to Magic Kingdom October 1 2021

The Magic Kingdom fireworks shows through the decades (I started watching them in the mid 1980's as I'm sure many of you have) became my favorite experience at the park. The breathtaking beauty combined with the orchestral medleys of classic Disney songs made an impact on an emotional and...

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Mary Poppins Returns made buckets on home video? Do you have the numbers? I know it did fine upon its release the first few weeks, but when I look at the current Amazon's best sellers lists I see that Mary Poppins Returns has fallen way down in rank, while the classic original film remains in...

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Yes, way more successful. The popularity continues and as a great example, the blu-ray and DVD of the original continues to make the best seller lists on Amazon and currently ranks much higher than 'MP Returns' discs on the overall weekly sales list.

News Announced: Mary Poppins Attraction in UK Pavilion

Whatever the "attraction" turns out to be, it seems as though it will be a combination of both films. In the presentation, as vague as it is, we see them showing designs that lend more toward the sequel. The words spoken were chosen very carefully as not to lean toward either film too...

Rumor Country Bear Jamboree to be Replaced by Toy Story Show?

Yes! That's another reason why it would be such a loss. It's one of few classic elements left that was original to WDW's Magic Kingdom. They lost Mickey Mouse Revue and others. I'd hate to see this go.

Rumor Country Bear Jamboree to be Replaced by Toy Story Show?

I miss some of the edited out material as well, particularly the original version of the finale song "Ole Slew Foot". It's a magic moment when all the bears came out together and Big Al is still singing "Blood on the Saddle" throughout. They chopped out a few bars of music where they all...

The year 2011: Spectromagic or Electrical Parade

My thoughts exactly. I LOVED the original Main Street Electrical Parade so much and it was a personal favorite for me over Spectromagic. When MSEP made a brief return about 10 years ago or so, it was spectacular... punched up just enough. Now, this current redone version just loses something...

    Go back in time?

Your thoughts on Main Street, Empress Lilly, is something I relate to very well. I was 12 years old the first time I visited WDW in 1978. I'll always treasure the memories of the way the park used to be and still try to tell my friend, who has only known the park in the past few years, about...

Speculation of outbreak of Norwalk Virus at WDW?

 Well, my visit to WDW starts on Friday and although I know it's true that people get sick everywhere and not just WDW, this thread does make me worry a little. I suppose it really is just the size of the crowds at Disney that make the sickness rate high though.

How Many More Days For You (Part 3)

9 days and getting very excited. :D I've been in one of those major all around Disney moods lately, so I'm sure this will be a very special visit.

They ruined DL's Small World how much longer before they ruin ours?

:ROFLOL: Well said! Put a rollercoaster in the castle? Don't give them any ideas!!

They ruined DL's Small World how much longer before they ruin ours?

Wow. Thanks for that. Now I can cancel my order for all those new little wooden shoes, feathers, clock hands, and hippo lashes.

They ruined DL's Small World how much longer before they ruin ours?

When the artists created the visuals and the music, it's true that they were given an assignment, but their inspiration didn't come from the calculated thought, "how can I design something that will make money for the company?". It's obvious that this attraction means more to some of us than...

They ruined DL's Small World how much longer before they ruin ours?

I have a feeling that they never will "fix" ours. Of course that's fine by me.

They ruined DL's Small World how much longer before they ruin ours?

It has long been one of my favorite attractions. It's a classic that holds special memories and I enjoy it more as the years go by. I know it's not for everyone, but I love the beauty and innocence of its design accompanied by the Sherman's wonderful composition. And count me in as one who...

No more characters at Liberty Tree Tavern??

Nothing wrong with character meals, but I have to agree with Lee and those who say that there is not much for those who care about a decent dining experience in the Magic Kingdom. It makes it tough for people like myself who love the MK, enjoying spending the most time there, but who have...

Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade starts TODAY

Even though I was hoping for an entirely new parade as well, (I've never been a big fan of the long running snow globe floats), I think that these new changes and additions to this brand new version are great. The new Mickey and Minnie float is wonderful, the colors are fun. Could there have...

    I can hardly contain myself

It's something that we all go though isn't it? The anticipation. I have four days left until my next visit. I was all excited and in the mood a couple of weeks ago, then I hurt my foot. It's doing a lot better, but it still has me concerned. If there is one thing that comes with Disney...

Stars and Motorcars Parade Final Performance Meet

Thanks for the news, mpaul. I didn't know that it was leaving. I really love that parade. I'll be there the week before the 9th so I'll be able to catch it one last time, thankfully. I still remember how exciting it was in its first year. I loved how it started with the policemen on motorcyles...
