How Much Longer Will Coke Dominate WDW?

Pepsi is served in Shanghai Disney - was very surprised - assumed coke would be a worldwide contract for the parks. Not sure if any of the other Disney parks offer a Pepsi product.

Tipping Servers while using the Dinning Plan

I'm sure everything can be charged back to your room. The only problem with that is whether your server will actually get the full amount which is why we always pay cash for the tip part.

    Lemon meringue cupcake!

If it's the same as the one in Be Our Guest I thought it was a bit of a letdown. :(

    I beg to differ!!

Why I struggle choosing a resort

It's all personal judgment. Those who have a perceived problem at a resort are more vocal than those who do not. And with regard to personal judgment we are complete opposite of the above. Stopped offsite and will always now stay on property. Just personal opinion.

    Hot Potato Hot Potato

You'd love them even more if they did them properly and stopped using frozen rubbish! :)

    Port Orleans-Riverside

For me it's THE best resort on property. Parking has never been a problem, we've always managed to pull up almost outside the room. Access to the parks from there is very easy too. Epcot to home in 6 minutes (all signals green!).

    Wishes or Illuminations?

Illuminations for me any day of the week. I've seen it a couple dozen times over the years and it still has the ability to raise the hairs on the back of my neck. And the Christmas tag is just very special.

No More Sit Down Meals During Free Dining?

You'll notice though djlaosc that whilst there are no free dining options at the moment the prices of the resorts have actually come down by roughly the amount the 'free' dining costs. We've just booked for Port Orleans without dining and a saving of £250 each over the 'free' dining price.

    Free Dining in December

It does seem like they are cutting back. Here in the UK free dining at the beginning was for all resorts, then just the moderates and deluxe and now just the deluxe (moderates the quick service which you could upgrade). The 'free' dining deals have now ended (5th February) and I've noticed the...

The Best Fried Fish In WDW!

This maybe should have had a thread of its own but why oh why does the Rose & Crown insist on giving us frozen chips? Nothing like the real things back in the UK. And don't get me started on the peas........

    We are booked!

We did book last night! 30th November for two weeks at Port Orleans Riverside. :) Happy Days!

Driving to the parks instead of using the Disney Bus?

We very rarely use the buses - we're far too impatient to wait!! We find it quicker to use our own transport but using Disney takes the hassle particularly after a long day. Last year we timed ourselves from leaving Epcot after Illuminations (In the car in the parking lot) to Port Orleans...

Calories and sugar don't count at WDW.

I thought as soon as you passed under the arches calories and such things didn't count. ;) Seriously be careful but enjoy!!

Why is ABC Commissary so bad?

Ate there a couple of times this past December and found the food to be more than acceptable - better than can be said about the Sci-Fi.......

    Just a day

If it was me I'd take the car and park in Epcot and then monorail it to MK making sure we are there for rope drop. The car is now nicely at the front of the car park and ready for the evening. Do as many of the fantasyland attractions you can before everyone gets there using the fastpass...
