    Grocery Shopping in WDW?

The Wilderness Lodge has some groceries avalible in their gift shop area. Basics; milk, beer & wine, snacks, packaged stuffs (I think I saw a hamburger help box) fresh fruit. You may want to use one of those delivery services if you have menu planed out.

    Disney in December

We found that this is the best time of year at WDW. Hardly any line at all, dining was fast and easy. The biggest crowd we ran into was at the Grand Floridian, we went there to eat and ran into everyone who was checking out the gingerbread house in the lobby. Must have been at least 100 people...

    candlelight processional narrators announced

We saw the show narrated by Eartha Kitt and she was fantastic. I was hoping to see her name on the list again. Is this the complete list or just a teaser with the full list and packages announced inAugust?

    California Grill

My wife and I ate there in Dec 05 for our 'Parents Night Out' and had one wonderful time. The food was excellent as was the wine list. The waiter was one of the best we have had in a long time!. Very knowledgable, prompt without being intrusive or bothersome. The view is fantastic, while we did...

    WDW with a 13-month old

When we went last June/July it was with our 3 kids; 7y, 5 1/2y, and 5 1/2m. The baby was fine, just have plenty of water and/or juice on hand for everybody-remember you will be hold the little one and will need to be refreshed too! We also purchased one of those little foam rubber bladed...

    Shots Fired Call at MK

The call can be traced, it's just a matter of time & patience. It can depend on what agency will take the crime & run with it; will the County investigate or defer to the State agency. It can also depend on how co-operative the individual phone company may be. Some pony up the needed...

Question about the price of princess costumes

Don't forget to try Ebay. My wife found a great Cinderella dress for about 2/3 the cost of new one for my daughter, which she wore to the My Prefect Princess Tea Party at the GF.

    Disney in December

We went last year Dec 11-17 and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. We really enjoyed the WL, great lobby to begin with and just phenominal with the giant Christmas trees. I would recommend the WL to anyone. We also had a great time at the Candlelight Processional. We did the dining package and...

    AP Rates-Do they automatically apply?

We are planning our December 06 trip and I am buying an AP. I remember reading somewhere that if you have an AP and make a reservation before rates are announced that WDW Reservations will automaticly apply your Passholder discount. I think it was/is called 'The best rate program'. Is this...

When do you like to arrive?

We always drive down to Florida because of my wife's fear of planes (some type of conspiracy to drop one from 30,000 feet...). One thing to keep in mind is that such a late arrival is going to limit the type of room you get. We have been in December (and are going agian this year) and arrived at...

    Scrooge McDuck

Maybe all these appearences are for/because of the new Dreams come True celebration? It seems that everybody has their hard to find favorite Character or super hard to find autograph. Seems like a very easy way for Disney to accomodate some of the simple (but always in demand) dreams of the...

Pertaining to eating -- on property dining

One of our favorite places to eat is The Coral Reef in the Sea's at Epcot. Although alot of people say the food is so-so my family real ahs enjoyed the times we have eaten there. The restaurant has stadium seating because one whole wall is the glass to the aquarium. Not a bad seat anywhere but...

    Wilderness Lodge - Rooms Again!

We stayed at the WL during our stay in December last year. If I remember correctly the bunk beds are a request and not a guarantee, we had bunks though and the kids loved them. We had a room that was very quite, it faced north toward the WL Villas and over looked the "quite" pool that was...

    Luggage question--traveling with baby...

One thing to consider also is that there are a couple of supermarkets close by WDW, no more than a 15-20 minute drive away. So if buying diapers a nd shipping is a bit expensive you can just travel with enough to get you there and buy them there. Prices are with in the normal price range. We...

Charlotte NC to WDW - Driving?

8 hours doesn't sound bad at all. We drive from SE Michigan and do it in 2 days-Detroit to Chattanooga, TN. to WDW. About 10 hours each day with gas, food and pottie breaks for Mom, Dad, Grandma & 3 children. One thing to consider if you have kids is a DVD player, either pre-installed or...

    Concierge job question

I think I'd like to be a taxi boat pilot. :) After I finally retire that is. A ways to go before that can happen though. Just another way to dream I guess.
