Which Disney/Universal Orlando park has the best rides?

MK and IoA are way out in front of the rest, and MK gets this, but the gap has become pretty narrow. Obviously if you are looking for higher level thrills then IoA wins. But MK has plenty of quality thrill rides as well, they are just further down the "thrill scale". And MK is much better...

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

Having never seen the movie (which is another problem with basing a ride on a film many are not familiar with), it does come off as a cheap attempt to fulfil the "racing" promised by the pre-show. Then there's the way they jam in the last few gates. It feels like they realized they were...

Luminous: The Symphony of Us POLL

Its fine. A bit better than Harmonious overall. Not having the taco barges all day is a plus. Definitely not what Disney is capable of.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

Tron is one of the worse non-kiddie coasters out there. Certainly it's the worst in any of the 6 Orlando parks.

I think Yak and Yeti is a GREAT Restaurant, what do you all think?

That is one dish I have not tried, so perhaps it is the exception. Glad you have been able to find something you like.

Revenge of the Mummy vs TRON Lightcycle / Run

Tron maybe the worst non-kiddie coaster I have ever been on. The only thing it has going for it is the exhilarating launch. But they quickly squelch any excitement by immediately breaking the trains as soon as the launch is completed. The outside section is at least meh. The remainder is...

    Roundup BBQ

It's fairly new and yes, its popular. As with any restaurant, the size of your party and time(s) you are looking for also makes a difference.

I think Yak and Yeti is a GREAT Restaurant, what do you all think?

Ugh. One of the worst park restaurants. The counter service is even worse.

    Plus Size Experience

You were not shamed, you were moved for your own safety and so you could still experience the attraction. I have had the same thing happen to me on a couple of other rides in the past. Any shame I felt was not the fault of the team member doing their job to keep me safe.

[Rumor] Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Olivia Rodrigo

I think all of the difficulties mentioned with rethemeing the ride is exactly why it hasn't been rethemed. That and the fact it is still top tier in terms of popularity. There's also the fact Disney is much more averse to paying licensing fees than they were when RnRC opened. I am shocked...

Disney is a struggling company. I don’t see an end in sight.

Well, I wouldn't go that far. They still make a lot of money and that isn't going to flip that quickly. So barring another "black swan" event, they won't be closing any time soon. But sometimes a slow decline is harder to get addressed. Since we are using a lot of analogies, it's like the...

Disney is a struggling company. I don’t see an end in sight.

Eh, at this point I'm ready to take the chance. The parks are dying a slow death and this has been going on for years. The Chapek fiasco and the pandemic just compressed the timeline a bit. I fully acknowledge that new ownership, in the form of larger company or a spinoff, could be worse...

Disney is a struggling company. I don’t see an end in sight.

Sure, the devil you know can definitely be better than the devil you don't. But are we so sure selling the parks off would be a bad thing? I'm not. If they go to a company with a more long term view, and one who doesn't need to use the parks as an ATM for other struggling divisions, it could...

    No idea what I'm doing.....

If you are fine getting up for early entery, by all means do so. But if you aren't early birds it is not really necessary since you have Express. Hagrid's is the only attraction not using it, but our experience is the waits have been significantly overstated lately. As in posted 90 but in...

What famous person could narrate Spaceship Earth as well as Jeremy Irons?

Just bring back Irons. To me he was by far the best. Cronkite was good, but he read it like a journalist, which is to be expected. Dench's problem I think is in the direction she was given. It comes off as condescending, almost like she is reading a children's book to Romper Room. But Irons...

    Plus Size Experience

I *think* she will be ok, but I would say just be prepared. I am 5'5" and while less now I have visited at about that same weight. I was always able to fit in everything, but several were tight, and Rip Ride Rocket was downright uncomfortable. Velocicoaster, Gringott's and Hulk were tight but...

How important is your Home Resort?

Might want to also consider future needs when it comes to accommodation size. You don't say how old the kids are (I am assuming there are kids involved), but while a studio may work now, it may not work so well in a few years. When we bought at BWV in 2000 there were 3 of us including your 2yo...

How much of the DIS stock plummet is related to the parks? In particular, WDW..

For all the complaints about the parks, from Wall St's pov they are doing fine. We may question the sustainability of their strategies, but as of yet they have not negatively impacted the stock price. Wall St actually likes it when you can raise prices and make more $'s. And they really don't...

Who else is anticipating Epic Universe?

I see that to an extent. But I don't think that is enough. And certainly if that's really the thought, they had better nail it. The Potter lands seem to be holding up, but for many people these really function as one land with the Hogwart's Express connecting the two, which would give it 5...
