    Worst Disney/Universal Orlando park?

DHS is dead to me until they build an Indiana Jones land.

Rumor New Orleans Mini-Land and "Reimagined" Country Bear Jamboree

This has been an interesting read for me. I never really had much attachment to the Jamboree, even as a child. Would hate to see Frontierland disappear. The time the gun at the shooting gallery was broken and kept giving me free shots will never fade from memory. On the other side, I always...

The “wealthy” is not going to work

I am young side of gen x. The parks in orlando have great nostalgia for me. My three boys don't care and think the parks are too crowded. They openly prefer other than orlando park destinations for less wait times. In that regard, disney is driving my kids away. They also think universal is...

    Return to normality tracker

Interesting, we were there the 14th. Aunt Granny's was the restaurant that was below capacity, and they were telling walk-ups it was a 1.5 hour wait at dinner time. The hostesses were great. They were showing us photos of them with Guy Fieri as he was there filming recently for his show.

    Return to normality tracker

This is anecdotal, but I was just at dollywood two weeks ago. The staffing is not back to normal. The restaurant we ate at for dinner had half empty tables, and when I asked the hostesses they said they were short to be able to service all of the tables. Short for that day, or just short, I do...

Will anyone stay on site any longer?

Thanks for linking this, I've been wanting to stay at the Swolphin for a long time, and this edged me a bit closer. I enjoy both Disney and Universal and they have very distinct feel from one another. At the core, I'm all about Disney, but thoroughly enjoy Universal also.

Bucket List. First timer, traveling with a cancer patient, in need of your sage advice. :)

Sorry to read about your sister. For me, nothing beats staying at the Contemporary with the theme park view. And you can walk to MK from the contemporary, as well as ride the iconic monorail which goes right through the building and will take you to Epcot. The other poster before me mentioned...

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

I have been annoyed by the newer, shorter rides. In this round of development, we never would have seen a near 10 minute splash mountain. And since Energy Adventure left Epcot, I have no place to take a legitimate nap in the AC after coca colas in Germany or England.

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

Agreed. I love POR and WL, amongst others, but for my family of 5, it is hard to beat the Cabana Bay suites, and I love the post modern aesthetic of the hotel. I'm a die hard for always staying on property, so I find myself trying to rationalize the new changes across the board.

Disney Genie and Genie+ at Walt Disney World

Long time lurker, first time poster. In 2019, I spent near two weeks between Disney and Universal with extended family. Given that I am the Floridian of the group, and have spent much time since early childhood in the parks (am in my 40s), I was basically appointed tour guide and planner. This...
