So I literally just stepped out of the modern design of the new Confectionary. It did not remind me of an old candy store. Too sleek and very little woodwork which you would find in a turn of the century early 1900s shop. The bigger disappointment is the lack of original goodies the store used...

When these menu changes were announced I felt that alot of them would be temporary to get through COVID and then revert back to the menu's pre Covid. But the more that time goes on and more restaurants re-open with more menu changes I'm beginnig to think that these changes are going to become...

I'm confused. I thought these menu changes were temporary due to COVID. So all the menu changes are permanent? Like Tusker house going from a buffet to family style. Or the Crystal Palace? If that's the case this is going to be a huge let down for our next trip. I get Disney trying to cut costs...

Yep! I did this in October. Hit MK first thing and had lunch at the Wave at 12:30. I took the monorail over and walked back. I also have walked over to the Contempoary before to watch fireworks from the 4th floor observation deck as well. Super easy and is a nice break from being in the park.

As a fellow Tarheel I can say that the heat isn't that much different in Orlando than NC in the summer. The killer is the humidity in Orlando. Not to say the humidity in NC isn't bad but it's worse in Orlando. Like sweating as soon as you walk outside bad. Unlike NC where we can have high temps...

Just got back last Saturday from a 6 night stay at Pop and the coffee maker was in the room.

It's just crazy to think that Spectromagic last ran in May 2010 and here we are 10 years later with no replacement in sight for a nighttime parade at Magic Kingdom. With this Covid shutdown and penny pinchers running things now, we'll be lucky if we get specialty cupcakes and t-shirts for the 50th.

As alot of previous posters have said, basically anything that isn't IP related woldn't get built today. Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, The Poly, all wouldn't be built in todays generic centric resort builds. Imagineering isn't really knocking the ball out of the park with new and mind...
