    Play Stay Dine Watch 2018

Varies. Last year was awesome - mid to upper 70's with a couple days in the lower 80's. Shorts during the day and swimming in the evening. Two years before that it was bone chilling cold and we wore winter coats all day. Fun either way.

From the OS: Gator drags child into Seven Seas Lagoon

Looks like the poor little guy was found. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/child-2-reportedly-dragged-water-alligator-near-disney-resort-n592641

Things I wish I would have known / Disappointment in DL

I'm a five hour drive to DL and a five hour flight to WDW. I've been going to DL since I was a kid and WDW every year since 2000 and I've come to this conclusion: The Disneyland Resort is a better theme park experience. The Walt Disney World Resort is a better vacation. If I want to fill a...

Walt Disney World Resort agrees multi-year sponsorship deal with new MLS team Orlando City Soccer

I never thought to align a WDW trip with RSL vs Orlando City. Since we are in a different conference it will be a rare occurrence but I might have to look into that in the future.

Luigi's Flying Tires being converted at DCA, what does this mean for DHS?

Always found it odd when assumptions are made based on an online video and not on personal experience.

Luigi's Flying Tires being converted at DCA, what does this mean for DHS?

I've always enjoyed this ride. Never had issues maneuvering but I'm a natural leaner.

    The Spirited Back Nine ...

You could argue that but you'd be hard pressed to find many travelers who agree with you. I go to Chicago once or twice a year to watch my beloved Bears squander away yet another season and are there really any new things to do? Not really, but I wouldn't miss it for the world. I also take my...

The Spirited 8th Wonder (WDW's Future & You!)

Last fall I stayed at WL for 7 days and spent roughly $4100 for the trip. That includes airfare from a little area near Las Vegas, hotel, tickets, and food for a family of 3. This Spring I stayed at CB for 5 days with my little guy and I probably spent close to $2100 for the same items. Now...

James Cameron outlines 'Avatar' as Disney World attraction

I don't remember Pixar Place being advertised as a new land, more of an ongoing home to Pixar characters.

Frozen at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the summer?

I agree. I saw the movie and really enjoyed it but due to the over saturation I'm not sure I ever want to see it again. If I hear that Let it Go song one more time.....:hungover:

    Does Disney own Run Disney

Does the Walt Disney Company own runDisney? Now I know it sounds like it would be an obvious "yes" but I can't really locate any real ties other than the name. It's not listed under any lists of assets nor is it hosted on the traditional go.com website. Does anyone have any background...

Wife now likes DL over WDW?!?

I've begun to long for Disneyland trips the same way I used to long for Disney World trips. For me it's either a 5-6 hour drive to Disneyland or a 5 hour flight to Disney World (with 3+ hours of airport time on top of that). Cars Land and the Pier at DCA at night is phenomenal. The layout of...

You Hate Everything About It, Yet You Still Go

I suppose "stop complaining a lot" could be equivalent to "keep the constant complaining to a minimum" (one just has a slightly more negative connotation). Or as we say it here in the west, don't be such a buzz kill. Just remember, I prefaced that with "Definitely voice your opinion if you...

You Hate Everything About It, Yet You Still Go

I wasn't asking posters to stop - I was talking about fans in general which is why I included the sports reference. I didn't point out wdwmagic(dot)com anymore than I pointed out espn(dot)com. I was simply explaining other passions of mine (sports) that are in a systematic form of change (some...

You Hate Everything About It, Yet You Still Go

Actually I said I've been dropping in daily since 2004, I just rarely enter into the debates.

You Hate Everything About It, Yet You Still Go

I agree - they have unrealistic expectations. Keep in mind, it's a sports reference. I've been coming here almost daily since 2004 but as you can see from my post count, I don't discuss much. I drop in, see if there is any new news coming down the pipe, browse through the predictable banter...

You Hate Everything About It, Yet You Still Go

To me, WDW fans are similar to sports fans: The majority get their information from unreliable sources (thus making them unbearable to talk to). The majority follow the popular sentiment at the time without making judgement on their own. The majority have unrealistic expectations. Then there...
