New Tomorrowland. Is this the year it finally gets announced?

..."During times of day when there’s extra power on the Western electric grid — maybe temperatures are moderate in Portland and Seattle, but Montana winds are blowing strong — the Gordon Butte project will use that extra juice to pump water uphill, from the lower reservoir to the upper...

News 2024 Disneyland Resort Event Calendar

I guess so. But we were also very hungry so that may have been a factor. We did laugh at the tiny chicken legs.

News 2024 Disneyland Resort Event Calendar

I had it about 2 weeks ago and it was pretty good, better than the last time I had it at Plaza Inn.

New Tomorrowland. Is this the year it finally gets announced?

You can have your convertible converted to electric. I considered it for mine when it was failing before mechanics finally figured out what was wrong and fixed it.

    Original Alice in Wonderland Ride

I'm trying to remember when the physical apple was replaced with the holographic apple.

    Original Alice in Wonderland Ride

    It's certainly closer.

    Original Alice in Wonderland Ride

It's different from what I recall. My memory is more of "have an APPLE dearie?" followed by maybe a cackle and the reset clank.

    Original Alice in Wonderland Ride

I remember pillar but on this my memory may be faulty. She would slide forward holding out the apple then clank back.

    Original Alice in Wonderland Ride

For what it's worth, in 1977 my break area was right behind it. "Have an apple, dearie?" Clank! Over and over and over. Said it in my dreams.

Never heard of this so I went googling. Just so you know, Plectu's is very different from plectus.

If light magic premiered today it would be a hit

In 1977 when Space Mountain opened, the line went through Tomorrowland and up (down?) Main St., then curved backstage around the old BofA, now Disneyana, for quite a ways. It caught me very off guard to see the guests as I was walking from the lockers to head onstage. One of those things that...

    DisneylandForward

My simpleminded version (no numbers!) is that Disney is presenting what they think will get approved, then will pay the penalty and do what they want.

Toy Story Hotel Planned to replace Paradise Pier Hotel?

Local news paired footage of the hotel with a flyover of Epic Universe. That was pretty funny as the newsreader tried to express equal enthusiasm.

    DisneylandForward

Read today's L.A.Times article on it. Unless I'm misreading this, not much of a penalty if they don't deliver what they promised. "Under the plan, Disney promises to invest between $1.9 billion to $2.5 billion within the next 10 years. If Disney’s investment does not reach the $2.5-billion...

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I bought a Villaintine's card at Lovepops. I'm surprised that Disney hasn't run with that idea and made it into a whole merchandising thing.

Pepsi is more concentrated. It's pretty easy to tell them apart just by looking at them. Coke is a lighter color. I dislike everything carbonated.

Hitchhiking Ghosts at Disneyland getting the MK treatment?

Someone needed to tell them why it wasn't.

Hitchhiking Ghosts at Disneyland getting the MK treatment?

I'm not sure an auction scene can be saved. The new one is bad but it wasn't good to 1. have women being sold and 2. valued purely on their looks, with 3. the less attractive women hoping to be bought by a man. I mean, really, they thought the crying young girl being consoled by her mother was...
