News Dragon caught fire in today’s Festival of Fantasy parade

I honestly had no idea these companies and studios even existed. Are there others worth being aware of?

Rumor Did Disney Put in an Order for 50 Parade Float Chassis?

These statements can be simultaneously true. I can - as an individual consumer - think prices are too high (for me, or for the variants of the good I buy), while also acknowledging that they are not sufficiently high to make any dent in demand at large. Not to nitpick or be combative, because...

Rumor Did Disney Put in an Order for 50 Parade Float Chassis?

Remember that pin series that Disneyland released for their diamond anniversary? With each decade being represented on a pin? That could work really well if they leaned into their vast library of attractions and IP. Just a thought.

News Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party coming to Magic Kingdom in the new year

It isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Still, like @mickeyfan5534 said, the male dancer costumers are rough... I definitely prefer "Party Up!" to "It's a Good, Good Time," but I'll give this a shot next time I'm in MK.

Rumor Did Disney Put in an Order for 50 Parade Float Chassis?

Really hopeful that costuming takes this in a great direction. FoF blew it out of the water for me, but some of last year's changes to the MOUCP costumes have me concerned.

    Hanging man in streaching room?

Also, sorry for the error, folks. I (let's be real, pretty obviously) meant December 30, 2018. Been correcting all my dates because I keep writing 2018, and I over-corrected this time.

    Hanging man in streaching room?

It was wild. Got my nose broken by an unsupervised child with a lightsaber.

News Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party coming to Magic Kingdom in the new year

I agree that dance parties at the Magic Kingdom generally aren't great. However, the NYE dance parties in Tomorrowland and Frontierland are bangers if you're in the parks - though that's because they're actual dance parties, and you don't have characters around. EPCOT also has fantastic dance...

    Hanging man in streaching room?

On my last visit to the Magic Kingdom (Dec 30, 2019), I pointed out to a cast member and manager that one of the portraits in the left stretching room had developed a wrinkle. Both of them confirmed that there would be some upcoming maintenance in the pre-show areas, so I wouldn't be surprised...

News Lasseter taking leave of absence

I mean, can you really say that? The #MeToo movement has incredibly visible support, but does it have the sort of widespread social cachet that could support a mass boycott? I'm not inclined to believe so, considering it couldn't stop Kavanaugh from being appointed to the Supreme Court. And...

    Future 'World Showcase'

I completely agree that promenade grand-stand seating is both necessary and inevitable. I was at EPCOT for New Year's Eve, and the taped-sections for Illuminations simply could not accommodate guests (partly because of some rather rude squatters who used their blanket, towels, and bodies so that...

News PHOTO - Guest Experience Teams deployed throughout Magic Kingdom to help with peak crowds

Very well said. There's a balance between guest planning and Disney service that has tipped out of control, and probably needs some some serious thought to reach resolution. I haven't booked at a Disney resort in a while, since I'm an AP, but when you receive your reservation, does it invite...

News Citizen becomes the Official Timepiece of Walt Disney World Resort

Does anyone else remember the art watches with the fun dials they used to have in the parks in the early 2000s? Those were so fun and unique - a lot of the watches currently in the parks feel cookie-cutter. I mean, I would fork over decent money for a wrist-sized replica of the Main Street clock...

    Rumor New Monorails Coming Soon?

I fear you're right. I suppose it goes without saying that many on these boards will be absolutely crushed if the monorails are replaced, but the average guest won't care. The gondolas will be shiny, new, flying ovens, but they're quirky enough that guests will still pay to cook in the Florida heat.

New Fireworks for MNSSHP and MVMCP 2019

I disagree with HEA being the biggest pyro show ever. I've watched it, and Fantasy in the Sky from the Polynesian, and HEA's fireworks don't even begin to compare to FitS. I like HEA - not as much as Wishes, because that was such a large part of my childhood and it's a more emotional show for...

Rumor Brazil (and maybe others) Pavilion Coming to Epcot [not about Brazilian people nor a country wish list]

I couldn't agree more. The past two years or so have been a glorious revival of the Jungle Cruise. Every skipper I've had seemed thrilled to be there. My only complaint would be maybe one skipper who spoke a little too softly, and the almost routine interruption of a joke mid-delivery by a kid...

A happy haunt has received your sympathetic vibrations...

And started to materialize! Long time lurker in these doorless chambers, but I've finally decided to join up. I'm a Virginian and an AP for about three years now. WDW is my home park! Keep an eye out for me on the Rumors and News boards!
