    Annual pass prices increase

Two price hikes this year for annual passes. I beat the price hikes this year. I wonder what is driving this? I assume they are busier than ever post-pandemic. I've been there twice this year and may go later this month (Florida resident, 4 hours away). Is the price hike to reduce the number of...

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

Edit / Update: annual passes at USO. Went in February and May (post-spring break) for three nights each time. Got good deals on Royal Pacific and Hard Rock so we had express passes courtesy of hotel choice. I think we'll wait a while before heading back to Disney. Just too crowded right now...

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

Ended up canceling Universal, as well. Omicron. Keeping an eye out for a trip this year sometime.

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

Canceled WDW, going with Universal. Free fastpasses with our Universal hotel and I think it will be less crowded than WDW with its 50th celebration going on. Probably get the weekday WDW pass in the spring and hit the parks when it's quieter.

    Are you buying Genie+

Maybe. I am concerned that everyone else in the park will have it which will put me at a real disadvantage. Waiting to see how this will work with annual passes.

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

Well, now that Genie and Lightning Lane have been introduced, I'm starting to lean to Universal. All day fastpasses at Universal vs the pay-for-fastpass option at WDW. As mentioned in the opening post, there are seven us for four days. That's over $400 extra. I also think that most visitors...

    Tinkerbell's Zipline pov

They don't want us to hear Tink screaming and praying all the way down the line.

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

Plenty of rumors flying around about paid fastpass. I don't know if that will occur by this December, or at WDW at all, but if it did I think I would go with Universal. I and my family love fastpass. We are very proficient at it and have been able to avoid lines for years. I would hate to see...

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

That would be great, but time and money are limited. I don't think both resorts are an option.

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

No, not the actual Christmas week. We've got 12th through 17th.

    WDW or Universal this Christmas?

We're planning a trip this December to Orlando, but are having difficulty deciding between WDW and Universal. I've got reservations at All Star Movies. Four-day tickets and five nights (two rooms) for our family of seven. The cost for room and tickets is $4327. I've also got the same dates...

    Grand Fiesta Tour Show Quality

They're all the same boy. As soon as your boat passes or you glance away, he runs backstage, changes outfits, and pops out as a new character (usually out of breath and with a flushed face). You can see him get nervous when the boats get backed up. He's thinking "come on, come on, move these...

How many days will make it cost effective?

This calculation sure has changed over the years for us. We are Florida residents (4 hours away from WDW) and would get the Florida Seasonal AP, most recently called the Silver Pass. The first time we bought those passes was back in 2002 and the pass was cheaper than a 5 day ticket. Over time...

Does anyone ever escape to Epcot.

Yes! While my kids overdosed on rides at MK, my wife and I loved having a dinner with just the two of us. We took our time, window-shopped World Showcase, and ended up somewhere for a drink before heading out.

    Fifth Gate Disney Memories

My first ride at WDW was Snow White back in 2002. I miss it for the nostalgia of those visits with our young kids in tow. Those kids are much older now, of course, and don't miss it at all. They're all for the thrill rides. I was sad to see Maelstrom go. Did Frozen once and that was enough. I...

What new Disney restaurant would you open?

I would task my imagineers to create a new restaurant that was themed to the area it was in, not to an IP. An equivalent to Liberty Tree Tavern in Liberty Square, or Space 220 in Future World. Table service, not a quick service restaurant. - Sci Fi restaurant in Tomorrowland. Not like the sci...

What will you appreciate more about WDW after the pandemic?

Enjoying my kids as they enjoy the park.

    NOW at Real Life Job

Weather's nice. I'll be inside most of the day so that's really not an issue. Crowds look to be the usual Monday through Friday level. Not dead like it is around Christmas and weekends. Thinking of grabbing a sandwich at Subway for lunch. I'll use cash since I don't think they take DDP...
