It's Time for the Original World of Color to Return

If we’re going down that road I will also say that I miss the anticipation of Screamin’s launch. A countdown was added with Harris and has been there ever since.

    All things Universal Studios Hollywood

Whatever they do with the Simpsons space, it’s time that ride system is retired.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

Perhaps they will. Disney seems to be normalizing the practice of completing projects after their public debut, so we may yet see some finishing touches.

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

This is a great use of those rock spires. I've been saying for a long time that projection mapping them at night would be a plus for the land. I had in mind making the rocks appear phosphorescent, but this is an improvement as well.

Indiana Jones Adventure vs Revenge of the Mummy

I think it’s safe to say that if you’re looking for the worst on the list, Universal Hollywood’s Mummy is the winner.

News Red Car Trolley to close February 8, 2025

Brings to mind that we have to trek to the Americana to get our trolley fix now.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

Honestly, after riding Bayou Adventure it appears to me that they’re not done with that project.

    All things Magic Mountain

I like your description here. Having experienced it both ways, that’s exactly how it felt. Advantages in each direction.

    All things Magic Mountain

Absolutely! When it opened it was the tallest and fastest coaster in the world. It got even better in later years when they turned the cars around so you could see the ground and just how high in the air you were! It certainly will be missed by me. Though I should note that the park will be a...

News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

Just watched the video and what a welcome surprise on a Friday evening after work! I may be late to the party, but even in the video this seems to be an improvement. Like many of us, I never cared for Constance, especially once the technical novelty wore off. The black widow storyline never...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

That is exactly how she appeared the sole time I rode! We were joking afterwards that they turned it into some kind of Tennessee Williams attraction!

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

Absolutely, and I would like to add that I see nothing wrong with this. I get the feeling, bolstered by Trowbridge's "My favorite part..." D23 comment, that this ride has an ace up its sleeve. I don't think we're simply getting an Avengers branded version of Peter Pan. That may be the base of...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

In the sentences prior I mentioned Tiana's Bayou Adventure and DCA's Spiderman. Those are the rides I was suggesting most would consider Pan superior to.

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

I think we're all feeling that to various degrees, especially in the wake of how they modified Splash. It doesn't help that Spiderman was the attraction that preceded it in Anaheim. It's almost certain that they will be borrowing Pan's ride system at this point. Opinions will vary, but I think...

Avengers Campus: E-Watch! (Waiting on the new ride)

I am also hoping for a lot from this ride. I believe there are many engaging things they can do with the ride system, the Jurassic World attraction in Beijing bearing examples mentioned here before. That being said, for the animatronics my guess would be under, predicting two. One in the...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I rode for the first time in December and this approximates the reason I decided to skip posting my thoughts here. On the one hand I was feeling too let down to make the effort. On the other hand is, there really much more to say at this point? I can muster a few positives. The outside turn at...

I like the look in general, but I'm holding out for this one having a beating heart.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure: Disneyland Watch & Discussion

I took the 'insane amount...' comment to be a poorly worded reference to the design phase, but taken at face value it is a questionable statement.
