Medical Help at Disney-Going with Cancer

Cool. Thanks for the responses. Is it weird of me to think that going to WDW might have some restorative abilities? I always feel for enthused and inspired after each trip.

Medical Help at Disney-Going with Cancer

I've been a long time fan of these boards, and I've weathered more than a few WDW trips. I've always been at the peak of health every time I've gone and I'm used to moving at a frantic pace-commando style. I just got some terrible news. I've been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer-all at the...

Construction bids going out for TLM attraction?

I consider Everest an entertaining coaster that just needs a little tender loving care. The g-forces that ride puts out gives it a level of intensity that Thunder Mountain just can't provide. I've fallen asleep, it's that tranquil. I would call Goofy's Barnstormer a coaster in that same...

Is the 2009 Park Soundtrack CD out yet?

Cool, thanks. I've known about the World's Fair release, but haven't picked it up yet.

Is the 2009 Park Soundtrack CD out yet?

Every year I go out of my way to collect the latest soundtracks from the parks each year. Last year's (red casing) was nigh impossible to find-only one shop had it during my trip in September.... Anyways, does anyone know if the new CD is out and what tracks are on it? Thanks, A.

What kind of WDW fan are you?

My wife and I are commandos, definitely at first. I have this sort of mutant ability to never have to wait in line, so it works for me. (note: ability does not work on Soarin', but does work at other theme parks outside of Disney...) One of my friends who is a local, went with us to see the...

Out of EVERYTHING in the disney world to come and go.....

I too am the venerable age of 35... A good way to describe Horizons is to imagine Carousel of Progress with a huge budget-a sequel of sorts. World of Motion was similar to Spaceship Earth, although instead of communication-its focus was our various transports. The original Imagination...

Out of EVERYTHING in the disney world to come and go.....

I think many of us agree that the old Epcot Center pavilions were instant classics-attractions that inspired us and left us optimistic for the future. I think back to my youth, riding WOM, Horizons and Imagination...my entire family riding each one 12 or so times. The scene in World of...

    WDW Laying off Cast Members

In 2001, I was laid-off from a job that I had held for 10 years. My performance had been outstanding and every review that I had was glowingly positive. I was told in not so many words that everyone above a certainly salary saw the axe. Another individual who had started the same day as me...

Toy Story Mania... Now on the Wii

The next Kingdom Hearts will be appearing on PSP, with a possible sequel for PS3 after (with a likely port to 360). Third-parties have been losing money on the Wii releases. Unless FF Crystal Chronicles moves a lot of units, I'd doubt a Kingdom Hearts on Wii. The controller isn't all...

Toy Story Mania... Now on the Wii

Well, technically the Wii could look identical if most of the visual elements are used as a CGI backdrop, with only the constantly changing elements using sprites/polygons. Although this limits the amount of interaction, is does make it possible.

Toy Story Mania... Now on the Wii

Then count me in, although I'd kill for a high definition version on another system. Filters at work prevent me from viewing many images.

Toy Story Mania... Now on the Wii

I find myself personally playing 360 more than the other 2 systems. The 360 games have better online, sometimes, but not always, look better. I use my PS3 for the console exclusives and Blu-ray. (BTW-Check out Bolt in high definition. Absolutely gorgeous, and I can't wait for Monsters Inc...

Toy Story Mania... Now on the Wii

BTW-for those interested... The Meet the Robinsons game was surprisingly good. Sort of like a watered down version of Beyond Good & Evil, with a tad more collecting and puzzles thrown into the mix. Also, I'd love to see a modern remake of Adventures in the Magic Kingdom with polished...

Toy Story Mania... Now on the Wii

Interesting idea First off, everyone should admit that Nintendo has turned a blind eye to its hardcore fans. The Wii could have been better, the controls SHOULD have been better (hence the upcoming new Wii-mote attachment) but they saw an opportunity to cater to an all new audience. Back in the...

Ever been sick while on your trip?

During the tail end of my honeymoon, my first viewing of Fantasmic got to me. It was a cold night (considering I'm from Illinois, that's saying a lot), and the fountains of the show drenched me. A kid seated behind me who was obviously sick (I won't get into the details...), kept touching me...

    Space Mountain Refurbishment Info

Someone asked if someone was born before.... Someone asked if anyone here was born before the mid-80's... I was born in 1974, a good year I think. Last September, the light came up while I was on Space Mountain. The amount of electrical tape holding up stuff made the subsequent rides more...

Is there something you have to buy everytime you go t WDW?

The latest soundtrack for the year. Sometimes it's not easy to find, but I go looking nonetheless.

There's also an old fashioned telephone that you can listen in on in one of the shops in Main Street.

    Slash and Burn ...

What I want You know what I want in Everest? A sense that we barely made it. I think that right after you see the Yeti, you should pass by the wreckage of a train that "wasn't quite so lucky". You could just have a mangled wreck of a car, maybe some weathered skeletons... something of that...
