    Magicband Charging down WDW Wide

I've run into this a few separate times over the past few years. I wound up getting a free meal at 'Ohana accidentally because of it! They told us they would take the DDP credits manually that night but they never did. Concierge told us we were free to use those credits elsewhere. Quite cool! I...

Disney Quest to close in July 2017

The going point for Broadway shows and Equity touring productions usually in the $120-150 range for orchestra and front mezz seats, $50-$90 for mid mezz, and sometimes as low as $27-$45 for rear mezz. That being said, I see absolutely no reason why this has to be a theatre doing shows like that...

    Shoes in February

I definitely recommend checking the extended forecast before you leave and pack according to that! January and February can be 4 seasons in one day sometimes and can be hard to predict! Typically it is cooler at night regardless of what is happening during the day though, and something close...

What, if anything, would you do about this?

Yes, that is what was discovered! In the past, cast member reservations, even with DDP, weren't considered "packages" and weren't subject to that rule. Now they are, which is fine, but doesn't change the fact that we were misinformed... twice.

What, if anything, would you do about this?

Hello, I am seeking advice on a recent mishap I had with Disney. I have a reservation for 3 adults at AOA from Jan 18th - 22nd with the DDP. It is a cast member reservation with the holiday discount. When we made the reservation months ago, we were told we needed to make a deposit equalling one...

East Coast-Drive vs. Train vs. Fly

I also travel from long island and I have done all 3. My preferred method is flying southwest out of Islip simply for the convenience of it all, but driving isn't *the worst*. I did not like the auto train, but my husband and I only used it when we were moving from Orlando to NY so for that...

PHOTOS - BAYMAX now appearing at newly expanded Epcot Character Spot

Super glad Baymax is back. I loved Hiro and thought he looked super great and super movie accurate. Real humans don't have eyes the size of fists and Asian Americans are real Americans and look all types of ways just like all people. Hiro is perfectly suited for a face character. Please find me...

    News New security measures

Toy guns, swords, and weapons of any kind (yes, including light sabers and light up plastic cone things) have not been allowed in Disney College Program housing for years. Toys R Us has not sold toy guns of any kind since before 2012. This part does not phase me in the slightest. Yesterday there...

    News New security measures

This has been my experience as well. I've witnessed two altercations, one on POTC that involved guests in the boat behind us screaming, standing up, splashing water at people on their boat, and just generally acting crazy. When we got off our boat we told the CM who was doing load out and he...

    News New security measures

That is not true, at least not anymore. This incident was quite a while ago and I can assure you that Frontierland/Adventureland have security measures in place to tackle most issues swiftly.

    News New security measures

I'm very curious to see how Disney implements these. I have mixed feelings as a lot of people seem to, but I'm definitely bummed about the Disney bubble being popped. Metal detectors and myself do not a good match make (I have rods and screws in my back) and I never know if I'm going to set them...

    Disappointment at Contempo Cafe

I think you should do some research on what a strict vegetarian actually is. It is in the same category as other dietary needs as things need to be prepared vegetarian. For an example, one would assume that Potato and Leek soup (like the one at Be Our Guest) is vegetarian, but it is actually...

    Disappointment at Contempo Cafe

I am not sure if this is the case for everyone (I'd love to hear other people chime in on this), but my best friend and many members of her family are strict vegetarian and will not eat anything that has been cooked in some capacity with meat. Simply removing it does not change the fact that...

    Disappointment at Contempo Cafe

I know plenty of people who would not be able to just take the meatballs off. I'm sure some can, but to each their own. This may sound strange, but the biggest reason my husband and I do not fork over the extra cash to stay in the obviously nicer deluxe resorts is due to lack luster QS...

    Thread ended

It really depends on how much sunblock you typically need and how often you need to reapply... Personally, I am very fair and need to reapply SPF 50++ (usually 70 or 100) multiple times in the FL sun. For this reason most make up is pretty useless. Water proof or clear mascara, a cream based eye...

Crowds: Food & Wine vs. Flower & Garden??

I've done F&G for the last four consecutive years and F&W twice in four years. I am probably in the minority, but I strongly dislike Food and Wine. The crowds are insane and it is hard to participate if you don't want to spend a lot of money (which made going in groups hard). I've always dealt...

'Ohana hands down, 100% since you already have a CM res!

I'd like your opinions on AoA TLM

I mean, if Disney weren't charging more $$$ for an extra bathroom, a separate bedroom, a mini kitchen and overall accommodations for up to 6, I'd be confused? I don't think AOA is overpriced, it comes in cheaper than having to get two separate rooms at most places and you don't have to worry...

    POR vs CBR vs CSR

Ah, then go Pop! I do recommend requesting a King Bed room or else you'll have two full beds. Other than that, I love the food court at Pop and the resort itself is much smaller than the moderates in terms of physical space so none of the rooms are too far from amenities which is an issue you...

    POR vs CBR vs CSR

My husband and I found ourselves in the same dilemma two years ago and chose Pop because the extra money saved could be used for better quality meals, and we are foodies. It really depends what kind of getaway you are looking for! If you aren't going to be spending much time at the resort, maybe...
