if there is a virtual que for tiana

That is true, but it can't be denied that weather/seasonality was a factor for Splash Mountain in the winter and it will more than likely be for Tiana as well. It'll be interesting to see what they do for Tiana and ILL. It'll undoubtedly be one of the most popular rides in July/August and sell...

if there is a virtual que for tiana

For example (just to continue my point); tomorrow it's only going to be above 65 between 2pm and 7pm. People getting called back for a VQ at 10am would be riding at a (relatively chilly for Orlando) 62 degrees. Likewise, people called back in the evening would be riding potentially at 58...

if there is a virtual que for tiana

I do think it's more likely than not that it will open with a VQ but I'm a little skeptical on how much demand there really will be for it in the long run compared to Guardians for example. It has two major things going against it; it's a reskin of an existing attraction and it's a water ride...

if there is a virtual que for tiana

Disney has been surveying for a few months now about the VQ at Tron so it's likely on the cards that it will be removed sooner rather than later. I wouldn't like to bet that Tiana will have a VQ; whilst it is a "new" ride, it is just a reskin of Splash Mountain so demand may not be quite as high...

News Disney After Hours at Walt Disney World (2024)

Just going to correct your math here - its 9% not 0.09%. It's still only a small % of days as you originally pointed out.

New Walt Disney World discount - save Up to $400 on a Room and Ticket Package

I think this may potentially be the first signs that the travel bubble may be at risk of bursting. I've managed to get close to $100 in flight credits on my holiday flights (thanks Southwest!) and am now only paying $238 return from Chicago over the holidays. I've seen flight prices from most...

Questions (mainly for UK people but anyone can answer!)

The dining credit should be sent as a dining gift card digitally (at least it was for us in May). Easiest thing to do then is to add it to your wallet on your phone and ask the CM to scan it when buying food. The value of the gift card will be $61 x length of stay so it will likely be a very...

Trip Report Lower Your Expectations to that of Six Flags and you'll have a better trip

My intention was not to be dismissive of the OPs feelings and I agree with several points (if not most) of them; however, if you find this many issues with the parks, I honestly recommend taking a break from them. That's what we're doing. I do not think my response was "needlessly insulting or...

Trip Report Lower Your Expectations to that of Six Flags and you'll have a better trip

I think you maybe need a break from the parks with this number of complaints. Yes, some things are not like they were before the pandemic (housekeeping/cleanliness in the hotels in particular comes to mind) and some CMs may not seem as happy as they were but this is a reflection of the...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

The pre shows are an important part of the ride for Guardians. The problem here was twofold it turned out. Only one side was loading but they were still sending through full rooms instead of half filled rooms, hence the backlog. The main change they really need to implement is routing ECVs away...

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind SPOILER Thread

Managed to ride this afternoon with a ILL (we didn’t have park reservations for Epcot so had to hop in the afternoon). The ride is great (however it did make me pretty dizzy). The loading, however, in the afternoon was a mess. After the second pre-show, the vestibule area gets filled with too...

    Connections Cafe and Eatery

I couldn't eat a whole Five Guys meal though (and I imagine most people couldn't either) - usually I split fries with at least one other person. That makes it more manageable (still overpriced). I doubt the portions here will be as generous. I do take what you're saying though. I still think...

    Connections Cafe and Eatery

I think you raise a good point. In a city (like Chicago) they probably don't seem too high. I live 3ish hours from the nearest major city (Indianapolis) and they seem high. I do think it is confusing, however, to separate out the sides - every other Disney quick service in the parks includes...

    Connections Cafe and Eatery

What do you mean by fast casual places? Most sit-down restaurants in my local area are $13-$15 for a burger twice the size plus $3 for a drink. So $18 plus tax and tip. Some of these are $22 before tax and you aren't getting table service. It's pretty overpriced IMO.

    Connections Cafe and Eatery

Menu looks good, however, the pricing looks pretty high. A burger, fries and a drink is gonna run over $20. They seem to be going down the D-Lux route which they've never done in the parks before. I'd be surprised if the portion is as generous. I would not be surprised if the menu gets reworked...

Was charged full price for this ($4.99+tax)

I've only ever had good experiences in moments like these. At Christmas, a CM's magicband reader in the hotel food court wasn't working and we had no cash or cards on us so she comped us the two cupcakes we were purchasing (before moving to another register). Years ago, I also remember being...

    Pop Century housekeeping in 2022

However, if you didn't opt out housekeeping was just as good as it had always been. I imagine they have received countless complaints over the lack of housekeeping and can no longer rely on the COVID excuse thanks to the lack of the mask mandate. We're staying at Pop in May for two weeks (which...

    Disney’s Q1 FY22 Earnings Results Webcast

So Per capita spending (is that the same at per guest?) is up 40% from Q1 2019. That's impressive, I have to admit. However, I have to ask how long they can really maintain that level of growth. Can they wring another 40% out of each guest by Q1 2025? (That would mean per guest spending would...

    Mousekeeping

You can reduce service to an extent, yes. However, at a certain point, there will be consumer pushback (and the pandemic/"labor shortage" can no longer be used as a cover). The Hilton CEO was interviewed last year about this and talked about "retraining" consumers to expect less-to-no...

    Mousekeeping

We stayed at Endless Summer in January. They offered what I would consider full housekeeping - replaced towels, made the beds, wiped surfaces every day. Disney did basically zilch when we stayed at Pop Century or Coronado Springs.
