    Disneyland Dining Suggestions

Blue Bayou and Goofy's Kitchen are wonderful choices! I like to graze/snack constantly throughout the day, it gets pricey but worth it for me. Loading on snacks and quick service meals lets me try a bunch of different foods, keeps me fueled, and keeps my energy up. My most frequent stops are...

Things I wish I would have known / Disappointment in DL

I'd say the exact opposite, when I was in WDW for 3 days, I came across way more grumps than I ever have in years of going to DL. From what I know of DL CM's, including friends who worked there as their summer jobs, they work there because they love Disneyland. I've also heard that WDW CM's are...

WORLD OF COLOR CELEBRATE! - Photos/Video, Reviews & Thoughts

First impression was I liked it. I never loved WOC, so I didn't go into this with high expectations. Really enjoyed the first part with Walt and vintage Mickey, etc. Then the show completely fell apart for me at "Let it Go" -- not because I'm tired of the song (ok, maybe a little), but it just...

(Perhaps only) APs...spending only a few hours in the park

I was an AP holder in college and went almost every Friday. We'd try to switch it up every time, going from DCA (this was back when it was DCA 1.0) to Disneyland. Sometimes we'd watch Fantasmic and/or fireworks. Usually the last stop would be Peter Pan, not sure why but it just became the thing...

    best shoes for the park?

I always wear running shoes with moisture-wicking socks -- comfortable and dependable. I find flip flops uncomfortable, and I've been rammed by strollers enough times to not dare leave my feet without a little bit of protection.

    Pre park routines.....

Mickey waffle and coffee, lots and lots... and lots and lots of coffee.

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

It seemed to work well enough for the Disneyland half. I was ready to go right when the second hand hit 12, but the site went down anyway. When I finally got it to load, it transferred me to active and there was a message along the lines of, "Wait time: 7 minutes. There are over 100 people ahead...

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon

I'd recommend being ready to register right when it opens and you should get in without a problem (last year I was a couple hours late and it was only about 80% full). Wish I could participate again this year. have fun!!

Trip Report Better (very) late then never :)

Wow, POR is so pretty. I stayed in POFQ, which was great but now I wish I'd gone to take a look at Riverside. Your MK day is off to a great start! Early mornings at the parks are probably my favorite time of the day because you can get so much done and the day is new and it's all so exciting. :)

    Anyone Run Alone?

Lots of people do these events solo. I've heard of people meeting other solo runners and becoming great friends after. Plus, runDisney is usually pretty good with on-course entertainment. There will be plenty of others on the course by themselves because even if you sign up with others, doesn't...

    Disneyland Raises Prices

Considering it's a milestone year, not that shocked by the AP increase. I'm a little surprised that the SoCal select didn't go over $300.

Trip Report Better (very) late then never :)

So exciting just seeing that bus :D The best way to get excited about an upcoming trip is reliving an old one. Look forward to following along :)

    Pre-Trip We're Baaaaack! June 2015 Trip

Hello from a fellow life-long Disney fanatic who's also just recently decided to jump into the community. :) I've been living vicariously through trip reports the last couple of days, so can't wait to follow along with yours. Your enthusiasm is infectious!

How many days do I need?

I think 5 days is quite generous, but probably about right with two kids. I don't have any, but I'm guessing they'll want to do things that can take a good chunk of the day (e.g., lining up for meet n' greets). It also allows for some break time, and parades and shows if you guys like those...

Maybe only tangentially related, but this cracks me up every time.
