With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

Yeah, we're definitely prepared for the crowds. The crowd calendar for our dates is in the moderately crowded range, but we'll be flexible and just enjoy the experience of being there in the likely event of massive crowds.

With the Price Increases and Cuts, Are you Delaying your Visit?

Posted this in the other forum on the ticket price increase thread, but we canceled our WDW trip and we're going to Japan instead. We're spending the same amount to go to Japan and we're even throwing in two TDR days.

February 2016 Disney World ticket price increases and new tiered 1 day tickets

We definitely plan on it. We're spending one day at Tokyo Disneyland and one day at Tokyo DisneySea. We're doing DisneySea last because people say that if you start there, you will want to come back the next day.

February 2016 Disney World ticket price increases and new tiered 1 day tickets

I think you'll be surprised with what else you can do. We love WDW, but we also love seeing the real world. Sometimes, you can work some Disney into the real world, as we did with Disneyland Paris last year and will do with Tokyo Disney this year. Plus we get to see and do so much beyond that...

February 2016 Disney World ticket price increases and new tiered 1 day tickets

Two people. Airfare from Texas would've been $600, and we're spending $1800 total to go to Tokyo. The airfare is more, but we will spend less in the long run. We missed the deal a few weeks ago that would have been $1300 RT to Tokyo for two people.

February 2016 Disney World ticket price increases and new tiered 1 day tickets

It's not Bora Bora, but we recently canceled our upcoming trip to WDW in April and decided to spend the time in Japan instead. We were going to spend around $4800 for ten days in Orlando (value resort and tickets, airfare, rental car, Universal tickets and food). For Japan, we're spending the...

    Hotel Suggestions?

We actually stayed in the Ibis Budget, which is in the same building. The room was barebones and the bed wasn't the best, but it worked great for a cheap room near DLP. Breakfast was surprisingly good too for the price. The Ibis Budget was around €65 a night and the Ibis was €85, so we saved...

    Hotel Suggestions?

There are several options in Val D'Europe, just one train stop away from DLP. We stayed at the Ibis recently, and it was literally right out the door of the train station.

    Flying Fish Cafe, thoughts???

We also found it very loud. The last time we were at WDW, we ate at three signatures: Flying Fish, Yachtsman and Narcoosees. Flying Fish had good food, but we enjoyed it less than the other two due to the noise. It also seems like more of a family oriented restaurant as there were lots of young...

    pirate room review?

We ended up in the pirate room last November (on our Honeymoon, arr) so that we could take advantage of free dining. The room itself was just okay. The theming was certainly interesting, but I can't say we'd stay in one again. The beds are full size and the mattress is a little thinner to...

Trip Report A Collection of Things that are No More: November 2011

I love your TRs, everytime one comes up on the forums I know I am in for a treat. I really love the fact you are able to take such different trips each time. My husband and I are more recent disney fanatics, and all our family and co workers think we are crazy. o_O It is so nice to see your...

    First trip, any must haves?

I personally love the cupcakes at Starring Roles. The butterfinger and red velvet are so unique and a great bang for your buck. If you end needing another buffet option, my husband and I really enjoy Boma. We ate there for dinner one night and liked it so much we went back for breakfast. The...

What could be coming to EPCOT next!

I would love to see WOL come back and more rides in the WS pavilions. While I love walking around and exploring WS, it is currently an international mall. Which in this day and age you can get most of the merchandise from the Internet for far less than you would pay at EPCOT. I love the idea of...

    I have a Disney Secret

I listen to the Disney loops at work all the time. I work in a pretty liberal place, so most people accept my quirkiness and even ask me Disney questions. I think I did have one coworker who silently judged me, but he did full on manicures at his desk, so I'm not going to waste too much time...

What's your tradition when you go to wdw

My husband and I (ok, I am the more enthusiastic one in this case) love to buy the caramel corn from Germany. First time I took him to EPCOT I ended up buy 2 bags in a row. It wasn't pretty, but totally worth it. Other than my fascination with caramel, we are still developing our traditions and...

    Memory Maker

You won't regret purchasing it. We got over 430 photos across 8 park days and most of them turned out really well. It was money well spent and we plan to always purchase it in the future.

    Pre-ordering at BOG?

This was our experience. We were there on a busy day and waited about 20 minutes longer in line than we would have if we had pre-ordered.
