30 Days of Disney - Day 11 - Your favorite love song

A Whole New World with I See The Light as a close second. I like Beauty & the Beast but unfortunately I don't like Angela Lansbury's singing voice...

Trip Report Our family trip VIDEO! Can't wait to go back!

Thanks so much! I'm sure my older son will at least have some recollection of his first trip, but I'm not so sure about my youngest... I was the same age when I went to Disneyland for the first time, which I don't remember at all! But I have plenty of photos :) And yes, we have both gone many...

30 Days of Disney - Day 21 - an overrated movie

Frozen :cold: I like the movie. But when I finally saw it, I couldn't help but think, "THIS is what the world has gone nuts over?" I like it, it's definitely in my top 10 Disney movies, but I think Tangled is far superior. I don't understand why it didn't get the recognition Frozen has. Must be...

Trip Report Our family trip VIDEO! Can't wait to go back!

Hey all, we took our boys for their very first trip last month, and had an absolute blast! Lots of characters, rides, running around, and the Halloween party was to DIE for! (pun intended, haha) The link to our video is here: Or if that link doesn't work, you can also watch it here: We are...

Different Ways to Save for Disney Trip

I use ebates and mrrebates when I shop online. I do Swagbucks. I hit it hard in the 4 months before our most recent trip and made about $350 in that time (in Paypal gift cards, which I then transfer to my bank account). The rest of the year I do it casually and make maybe $25/month. I don't have...

    Do you plan days off?

As a kid my family would go for a week and we would always make sure to have a couple days to lounge at the pool, go to DTD, and relax. We still saw mostly everything we wanted to, but if not, no big deal - just do it next time! Now that I am grown and have 2 little ones, rest days are a MUST -...

What should be the next park icon for DHS?

I am a traditionalist and prefer the original - Chinese Theater. BUT, I do love the idea of a Walt Statue. Remember that guy? The one with the innovative vision, the one who wasn't all about corporate greed? Yeah, we should bring him back to the forefront of everyone's minds. Might do the suits...

Best Park OTHER than MK for young kids?

Animal Kingdom is what we were leaning towards so it's good to know we are making the right choice! My husband started to have doubts when we realized one or both of the kids wouldn't be able to do many of the rides. But I am excited to finally see AK. It's embarrassing how many times I've been...

30 Days of Disney - Day 22 - most underrated movie

For live action, most underrated is Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. Love that movie! Animated: Emperor's New Groove and Hercules are probably my top two. Also Oliver & Company. Honorable mention: Atlantis (Joss can do no wrong!) My husband's pick is The Black Cauldron, hands down.

Ever seen someone famous while at wdw?

Years ago at Biergarten we dined a couple tables away from Alan Thicke - and this was when Growing Pains was in its prime. I was just a kid and thought it was too cool, but I was way too shy to ask for his autograph. I saw others approach him though, and he seemed nice and gave autographs- even...

Best Park OTHER than MK for young kids?

Hey all, we are planning our trip for next year. My kids will be 5 and 3. In your opinion, which park other than the Magic Kingdom is the best and has the most to offer for the younger age set? I ask because we are definitely doing the MK and one other park - which one is up for debate. Keep in...

    Disney Disappointments

And to add another... I'm extremely disappointed that Jessie doesn't have a neck. What's up with that? Woody has one. I mean come on, this is Toy Story, not Hunchback of Notre Dame! ;)

    Question about MNSSHP

The character lines start up early - many people will get in line an hour before they even appear. If you plan on staying late I recommend getting in line as late as possible. Crowds dwindle later in the night (as many families with young kids leave).

    Question about MNSSHP

Even on sell out nights, most rides will be walk on. The main walkways might feel a bit crowded through the Main St. and hub area, but I personally only experienced that around the time of Hallowishes. Character lines will have lengthy waits (especially Jack/Sally and the dwarves) but that...

    Disney Disappointments

I know this is a polarizing topic, but the closure of Maelstrom and introduction of a fictional land into World Showcase is a huge disappointment to me. Maelstrom was a family tradition for us and could have been made fantastic with a refurb. I don't feel that a Frozen attraction is in keeping...

30 Day Challenge - Day 29- Your Favorite Theme Park Attraction

Haunted Mansion. It's family tradition to ride it MANY times over the course of our vacation. There is always something new to see, even after all these years!

    Never Have I Ever....WDW edition

Never have I ever been to Animal Kingdom!! Which is ridiculous considering the number of times I've been to WDW. Going to remedy that next year :)
