Bus driver can’t take guests to closed parks?

So we left our car at Animal Kingdom, and got the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge for a dining reservation. After our meal (at around 8:40 pm, 40 mins after park closure), we approached a bus bound for Animal Kingdom. The driver said that he wasn’t allowed to take guests back. The bus was...

Why are you allowed to keep your bag between the bag check and the metal detector?

Unlike at DLP, Universal and every airport in the world, WDW returns your bag to you in the window after you have had your bag searched but before you go through the metal detector. Does anyone have any thoughts on why this ridiculous security risk is ignored by WDW?

    Epcot $1 entrance lockers... gone!

To my shock and dismay, the $1 lockers at Epcot’s main entrance (pre-security, near the bus areas) are now gone! This must have been one of the last remaining amazing values at WDW. I was left renting a $15(!) locker inside the park for the same service. There are still a few of the good value...

    Spaceship Earth - Silent Descent

A little discovery of mine. If you answer the first question (health, work, etc) at the last possible minute - that is, between the timer showing 1 and 0 - you’ll hit a bug when it tries to generate your future. This bug means you don’t get the “choose your own future” segment with irritating...

    TTC-Epcot Monorail double bag check

Hey all, I can’t seem to find any recent (post-May) discussion on this topic. Does anyone know if there are plans to bring the Monorail exit inside the secure area of Epcot, to avoid having to go through a bag check twice? I assumed this would happen fairly quickly after the changes were...

DAS: being in two queues at once

First off, I don't intend this topic to be controversial, although I am certain it will be. Apologies in advance. As we know, overuse of the GAC program led to the changes that introduced DAS. This brought with it the notion that users have to wait, just not in the harmful environment (i.e...

International Gateway Entrance for Pre-Opening Tour Reservation?

Hi folks, I've got a reservation for an Epcot tour (Undiscovered Future World!) at 9AM, and it looks like I need to arrive 15 minutes in advance to check in at guest relations - so 8:45AM! Epcot opens at 9AM on that day, so my question is, is the International Gateway entrance set up to...

Poor selection of attractions on "Wildcard" fast pass?

I was at Epcot a couple of days ago (had a great day, by the way!). I really wanted to do Test Track with my friend who was only coming for a day, but Test Track went down (I wasn't too upset about that... It happens). The "replacement" FP+ was for Test Track when it reopened (which clearly...

50s Prime Time Cafe - Stand By Wait Time

Hi, I'm going to DHS for the evening of Feb 9th and really want to eat at 50sPTC (party of 2). But there are no ADRs at convenient times for me. Is there an option to wait stand-by, and (if available) what would be the expected wait time at around 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM on a moderate crowd-level...

One day at WDW - what to do?

Hi, I'm planning on taking a friend to WDW for one day (only). They loved Disneyland (California), but haven't been to WDW in years (since 1997!) and took against it when they saw it all that time ago. Having agreed on a day there, I'm trying to decide what touring plan would give them the...

    Annual Pass Start Date

Hey Folks, Hopefully a simple one... I'm buying a Standard Annual Pass and am offered "International Delivery $25" or "Will Call Pickup". 1) If I choose "international delivery", will the start date be today, or the day I first use it to enter the parks? Would I get a voucher that lets me make...

HKDL for a DLP regular - what to do/skip?

Hi folks, I'm visiting Hong Kong Disneyland for a day and a bit this weekend (which will complete one visit to every resort within a year... although not every park!!) and I'm trying to decide what to do (or more accurately, what to skip). My 'home' resort is Disneyland Paris. I'm hoping to do...

WDW - Trying to justify an Annual Pass...

Hi, I live in the UK, but like taking short trips to Disney. So far I've been buying Magic Your Way tickets, but having taken 3 trips in the last 365 days, I'm really starting to wonder if an A/P would be the way to go. I already own one for Disneyland Paris, which is beyond 'good value'. But...
