    town of Celebration

I posted on this thread 10 years ago, and I'm still in Celebration! What I've found amusing is how they built Siena and downtown to be rental apartments. Then the big push to switch them all into condos. Now, they've built Spring Lake to be mostly rental apartments, with a few single-family...

Secondary sidewalk entrance to Disney's Hollywood Studios now closed for park entry

I've always felt they did the car/tram lanes in DHS and AK incorrectly, forcing people to cross car lanes just to get to tram lanes. When hubby had surgery a few years back, and we had a temporary handicap tag, it would be easier for us to walk into DHS thru this 2nd entrance. Having to walk...

    Character greeting before Fantasmic?

A cousin of mine spent Easter week at WDW. While at the Studios, she said they had opened up the theater where Fantasmic is performed, for Character greetings. She said they were "not-so-common" characters (her words). This happened about an hour before Fantasmic was to start, and people who...

Eat to the Beat Concert Packages

The other problem I see with this, is that some artists (like Dennis DeYoung) have such a large body of work, they split it up across the 3 shows. It is not the same show repeated twice like Candlelight Processional. So how would I book a dining package? Say "Can you tell me when Dennis...

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping dates set for early December

I'm not a Cast Member, nor am I related to one. The taping I attended a few years back, did require a special ticket I had to get by logging onto a website. I got the ticket a few weeks in advance of the taping but the actual taping did take place a few hours before park opening. My husband...

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping dates set for early December

I had attended a taping about 4 years ago (Sarah Brightman and David Cook were guest artists). Their segments were taped before park opening, around 6am. We had to get admission tickets, and be at the parks by 5:30am. The tapings were held in the flagpole area, just as you enter MK...

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping dates set for early December

Thanks. My son had showed me this post, and we were going along with that info. Then today, this was posted on my FB news feed: http://www.disneyquestions.com/need-ticket-get-magic-kingdom-see-filming-show-will-air-christmas-day/ There, they state that tickets are required, and the taping will...

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade taping dates set for early December

My search on this topic only resulted in posts from earlier tapings. I have been seeing conflicting reports on different sites regarding the taping of the 2013 Christmas parade. Some sites say the taping will take place Dec. 6-7 and is NOT a ticketed event. Other sites say that tickets ARE...

Tables In Wonderland card now $100 for Annual Pass holders & DVC members, $125 for Florida Residents

I just came back from WDW. While I was there, I tried to renew my TIW, in advance of the 11/30 expiration date. I was told to wait until 12/1 so I could get the extra month. I almost forgot to get a new one on 12/1, until I was about to leave MK, around 10pm. So I stopped at Guest Relations...

    Candlelight Processional + Dining?

I just heard from allearsnet, that the dinner package includes a special viewing of Illuminations. Does anybody know how this will work? Will it be an area set aside for dinner package badges, to view Illuminations?

    Wishes Dessert Party

Thanks! Thanks for answering. Going to try the walk-up. If I can't get in, then I'll just have to hope they'll extend it thru the end of the year.

    Wishes Dessert Party

Can someone please give me more info regarding this? This is the first I've heard about the Wishes Dessert Party, and we're headed into the kingdom tomorrow. Are dining reservations needed? Where is it held? How much does it cost? Thanks for any help!

    Flying vs. Driving?

I'm in Central Jersey (exit 11), and it only takes 17 hours for me to drive to the World. I start at 7am and usually arrive around midnight. In fact, I'm headed down to the World again in 2 weeks.

Remember when there were only TWO Parks..( a Nostalgia Thread)

EXACTLY!!!!! Until they utterly RUINED that walkway by planting those tombstones in front of it! My friend has a huge collection of the Figment figurines..... one that we all contributed to every time we visited WDW. I have to get a picture of his collection and post it here.

Disney Parks Celebrates YOU for 1 Year!

My sister made one for DH and me. I kept hearing him say "How did she do this???" We're here at the World now, went to the Christmas parade taping, and just enjoying everything Christmas at the World! This was such a nice ending to a wonderful trip!

Best Ride to Take a Nap

I could never fall asleep on any Disney attraction (it's sacrilege!), but DH can, and has! I had to ask him which one to vote for on this poll. It's not on your list, but he prefers napping in the last row of the boat on IASM, at CBJ, or the Tiki Birds. A dark room, some nice Disney A/C, and...
