I want to taste the foods of 11 countries at Epcot, but is it free with my base ticket?

Yes it is German, but having lived in Germany, I can tell you that caramel isn't particularly representative of German sweets. It would be like a snack stand representing the US in Germany featuring predominantly Twizzlers. More German would be something featuring marzipan, Pfefferkuchen or...

    Question about Wilderness Lodge transportation

In my experience, the boat going to the Wilderness Lodge is the least crowded option leaving the Magic Kingdom at night. If you stay there, it's kind of heartening when you see the huge masses trying to squeeze into the monorails, parking ferryboats and buses...and then there's that small group...

Just a thank you and goodbye

Have fun! Btw, I learned quite a bit just following the threads of your questions. So, thanks right back at you.

NBA experience opening at Disney Springs

Off topic but related, I recently found myself wondering... what if the Disney Company resurrected Walt's plan to open a ski resort? Then I found the Imagineering section of this website and I let my imagination run wild with the concept...

When did swimming in Bay Lake end?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naegleria_fowleri FYI I originally posted an excerpt from a paywall website, but removed because it might have been a terms of service violation.

NBA experience opening at Disney Springs

An NHL experience that consist only of an ice skating rink would have probably been more popular, but not sure how feasible this would be in Florida. But hey, they have indoor skiing in Qatar. Of course, ESPN has no broadcast contract with the NHL. When I first learned about the NBA...

When did swimming in Bay Lake end?

I have no particular knowledge of this, but another poster pointed out that when WDW was first built, alligators were a critically endangered species, so they would have been relatively rare at the time. Once protections were in place, the population boomed over the subsequent decades.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

The toll fee may be 50 cents, but the violation fine is likely considerably higher. The photo of traffic or toll violations is timed stamped, so when the traffic authority sends the bill to the rental agency, the rental agency knows who drove the car at the time and they forward the invoice to...

Europe's plates aren't exactly uniform either, though, and the systems work pretty well over there for a wide variety of countries. In fact, the fonts are actually far more uniform for the US and Canada than for the individual members of the EU.

When will Disney finally build another resort in the United States if ever?

Looks more like Mickey's infamous Palestinian cousin, Farfour.

I want to taste the foods of 11 countries at Epcot, but is it free with my base ticket?

Quite a bit of food offerings at Epcot have been homogenized and adjusted to southeastern tastes that I'm not even sure how much of a "cultural" experience you're really getting any more. The German pavilion, for example, has a snack stand devoted to caramel popcorn, which is about as German as...

When will Disney finally build another resort in the United States if ever?

Although it's not in the US, try Googling "Disney Toronto islands". And then notice that the original announcement was published on April 1st.

When will Disney finally build another resort in the United States if ever?

Go to the Imagineering forum. I dreamed up just such a Disney resort, although I left the location open to several possibilities.

News New Gondola Transportation - Disney Skyliner - Every Possible What If ....? Has Been Discussed.

I generally agree with you (avoid skier here, opening day in one week!), but I'll note that at least in Ontario, a death on the road or on mass transit will result in a complete shut down while they carry out the accident investigation.

    Caramel Corn changes

Yeah, it would be nice if the World Showcase tried to actually import food and merchandise that wasn't generally available in the US. There are SO many good German treats out there.

    Imagineering a Disney Mountain Resort

So, there's my Imagineered Disney-designed, owned and operated mountain resort. As intriguing as the idea is and even though the concept originated with Walt himself, I don't think we'll ever see anything like this. Current Disney management doesn't seem too keen on aggressively expanding their...

    Imagineering a Disney Mountain Resort

Someone suggested Alaska... an intriguing idea, but unfortunately, a major ski resort on the scale that I outlined would probably be too difficult and expensive to support that far away. Unless Disney could somehow buy Alyeska Resort.

    Imagineering a Disney Mountain Resort

The northern Rockies could work as well, anywhere from northern Colorado to Canada. Denver and Calgary both provide the necessary populations and infrastructure. My ill-informed opinion would favor the Canadian Rockies, simply because in pictures I see, there seems to be a lot more water...

    Imagineering a Disney Mountain Resort

The White Mountains of New Hampshire and Maine and the Green Mountains of Vermont also provide most of the requirements, except easy access to large population centers (although the Whites are a little easier to reach from the greater Boston area).
