Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

I'm not your Dawg, Cat. (did I screw it up? :p)

OK, I'll Admit it...Disney Prices Are Out Of Control

I'd be willing to bet they do to some extent.

OK, I'll Admit it...Disney Prices Are Out Of Control

A vacation for a family of 4 (for example) can cost more than you make in a month. We spent over $20,000 on a vacation to Hawaii! Now, I do make a lot of $$$,, but not that much. :p My small point being, don't base monthly income as a sole decider of your family vacations. It will make lots of...

How dare Disney add more Disney to Disney World!

Everybody has. Except of course for Mickey.

How dare Disney add more Disney to Disney World!

For the yellow Pluto drink you could pump a handle that is actually Pluto's rear leg, and the spigot could be.. you know... :p I kinda wanna ride inside or on characters. You could put a door in Donalds cloaca and have quite the smoooooth ride. Mod delete in 3. 2. :p ...what is wrong with...

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

👍Sounds pretty much like my plan (that works pretty good), except for the trickle down situation. Hmm, that is an interesting wrinkle. Who is the selfish jerk if a person is only reacting to a selfish jerk? Do two wrongs sometimes make a right?

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

...or concerned about my children. I'm a dad too so that point is moot. Again, I don't care about my view of the sparkles in the sky. I do care about what you do that affects my kids. ...and other peoples kids. Or tiny grandmas viewing their last fireworks ever. Basically, any selfish activity...

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

One of those is also Darwinian. :p Ima digress, but at our 4th of july fireworks show, there were bands playing all day long. Therefore there was a stage to see. Throughout the day people would erect sun shades and canopies blocking the stage view. All. Day. Long. We moved about 4 times and...

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

That is what makes it an interesting discussion. Things that you are allowed to do, but then have to decide if you should do. Sorta like walking slowly 7 abreast, sneezing without covering your mouth, a single person holding a table for 10 for an hour, wearing a giant novelty hat blocking...

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

I think there are two types of people here... Question: How do you make water? Type 1: -- We discus the components of water and that if you combine oxygen and Hydrogen via a small combustion reaction you get water. We discuss the effects of impurities in the reaction. We discuss safety issues...

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

I think many of us struggle with this one. It becomes a greater issue with overcrowding. It also makes us sensitive to any shenanigans. ...like a person in front of you suddenly becoming 8ft tall or cell phone screens. A very unpopular opinion that I happen to agree with for the most part...

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

6'3 here, how do you handle groaners? You know, the ones that when you stand up and they note your height and then see fit to let out some audible disapproval? I have found I have to pretty much remain standing all all times so as not to "surprise" anybody. ...which kinda stinks because we...

Is Disney starting to lose that genuine quality for you?

They still are a world leader in jet engine manufacturing. Not sure if this counts or not.

Disney Should NOT allow kids on shoulders during fireworks

That's kinda the point for some of us. It never was about the pretty sparklers in the sky. It is a multifaceted discussion on etiquette theory. Super easy if you focus on a single facet (sky sparklies), and it gets more complicated as you incorporate more facets (consideration, entitlement...

Is Disney starting to lose that genuine quality for you?

Agree,, except about domestic cars. I have a Cadillac that won't stinking die. ...a prerequisite to me getting a new one. 10 years old and 100% like new. Well,, 99% like new. Some twinkie crumbs are between the seats. My Ford is almost 7 years old and won't die. My Dodge is going on 16 years...

Wow, this should be a giant flashing red flag to Disney. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This make the nostalgic me also very sad to hear.

Overcrowded. Other than that, I'd visit no problem.

    Disney World Low Attendance Paradox

I like the sound of "very low attendance". Sounds like a great time to book my first trip in years. I care far less about SWGE than I do crowds, so you are selling it pretty darn well. Assuming "very low" is accurate.
