News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Indeed. However, still being a national move instead of an international move makes it less of a hassle. Shanghai's building codes, not to mention utility standards, material availiability, etc. are likely a bit more different compared to Florida than the changes from California to Florida.

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

To be fair, Disney Studios Paris doesn't seem like it was an expensive park at all.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Any coaster can be built relatively quickly. We've seen how fast the steel's gone up for Tron. The slow part is show-buildings, set scenes, and heavy themeing. That's what takes time for Disney - and even some universal - coasters.

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Neither of these projects could ever take only a year. The ground prep alone would take months at least on each, followed by the sizable show building construction and tedious effects installation and programming. The only ride I know of scale that was built in less than a year was...

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

According to this article from 2007, the French were awfully fond of the film. Chefs praised the accuracy of not only the depiction of kitchen life, but the Parisian atmosphere and feeling.

    Star Wars Hotel General Discussion

Day/night cycles can be simulated with lighting in the hotel as to not upset anyone's circadian rhythm. In real life, the ISS covers its windows at night as to prevent the multitude of sunsets and sunrises it experiences each "day," and the crew sleeps in enclosed modules, wearing sleeping...

News Tron coaster coming to the Magic Kingdom

Space Mountain is the oldest operating coaster in Florida. Period. Very, very few things are designed to go nearly 50 years without some major upgrade or refurbishment. It deserves a lot of work.

Man Accused of Stealing Buzzy's Clothing from Disney World Arrested

You probably should have phrased this sentence better, then. Especially if you haven't physically seen the AA nude. You keep acting like you know more then anyone else on this forum about this subject, yet you say here "I know just as much as you guys." Come on, man.

Rumor Inside Out to Replace Journey into Imagination with Figment?

The very last scene is correct because it's a story. The ride is a story about how the institute is incorrect, their assumption at the beginning, and the slow education of our host by figment that imagination works best when it's set free (final scene). Figment is constantly interfering with...

Are you OK man? I legitimately think you may want to talk to a professional.

Rumor Inside Out to Replace Journey into Imagination with Figment?

Sometimes the correct answer is the simplest. The banners were likely added because it fit the story. No longer were you going on a journey with the dreamfinder inside a magical pyramid thing attached to a large showbuilding, you were being invited to the institute. The institute, which wanted...

Toy Story Land expansion announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Yes... That's how flat rides work... Triceratops Spin is a clone of Aladdin is a clone of Dumbo is a clone of Astro Orbiter. And that's just the WDW implementations. Baymax is (I think going to be) a clone of Alien Swirling Saucers is a clone of Woody's Round-Up is a clone of Mater's Junkyard...

News Date set for reopening of Rafiki’s Planet Watch along with new Animation Experience

It's not much, but it's nice. If you've got a decent amount of time to kill before your next fastpass (1-2 hours, to be generous) it's a neat way to spend some time. Petting zoo area, train that takes you past some animal care facilities for Kilamanjaro, functional animal hospital that you get...

News Tomorrowland Speedway and Walt Disney World Railroad to be impacted by TRON construction at the Magic Kingdom

From what I can tell, all the tracks were replaced on the west side, with the exception of maybe the frontierland station and splash mountain tunnel. I've seen evidence of rail construction all the way back to the north side of Rivers of America. But I could be wrong. I do not have much WDW...
