I posted this in a similar forum and thought I would share here.

    Proposing ideas

Here's is how I proposed to my fiance (both of us private people): I said I wanted to be the last people out of the park, so we sat on the hub grass after closing and waited for everyone to leave. She was being difficult and said we needed to go so the cast members could get on with their night...

    that Travolta Gotti move

I wanted to see it because when it filmed here in Cincinnati, it was kind of a big deal when it was going on. I'd like to pick out the landmarks that they tried to hide, but I have heard it is pretty awful as a movie.

Best Disney tip you ever got!

    - Bring a rechargeable backup phone battery (the Anker ones on Amazon are great) - #1 hands down best tip is to bring spray antiperspirant deodorant in your bag or backpack. It can then be shared with your group and won't melt in the heat. Everyone will love you. - Go to one of the local...

    Disney Newbie...Help with Restaurants

Hollywood and Vine would be good if for no other reason than dining options at Hollywood Studios are pretty limited especially for quick service if that would be the backup plan. If you think your kids won't sit for a non-character meal, my trick (without kids) is to get a meal "to go" from one...

    Post-1984 Magic Kingdom Attraction Quality

Wishes is a classic and is missed, but Happily Ever After blew my mind the first time I saw it. I am not inclined to think any fireworks are better than or worse than any others, but the synchronization and presentation is insane. The soundtrack isn't quite as good as Wishes, but both are...

What are your favorite sounds at Disney?

George Bailey: "You know what the 3 most exciting sounds in the world are?" Uncle Billy: "uhhuh- breakfast is served, lunch is served, dinner is ser-" George Bailey: "no, no, no, no- anchor chains, plane motors, and train whistles." If George Bailey agrees with you, then I guess I have to also...

    World Of Color Refurbishment

We looked at the packages for World of Color, but decided to just eat dinner wherever we felt like, then go see it. We have seen Fantasmic lots of times in Florida, so we wanted to try something new. I know it's a little different, but I am guessing it is pretty darn close to the Florida Fantasmic.

    World Of Color Refurbishment

Rumor now is that WOC won't return until "late 2018". Our honeymoon is end of September and WOC is the number one thing I wanted to do, so I am significantly bummed. Any better ideas on this?

    Favorite AFFORDABLE off property

I agree. This is absolutely my cheap/non-Disney go to for hotels. I don't even look anywhere else anymore. I've gotten rooms as cheap as $75 but usually around $100. Still a great value.

For Park CMs (Non-Disney, too): Worst Thing a Guest Said to You

My second day on the job in the Animation Courtyard at DHS: Foreign guest with very broken English buys 8 (8!) dolls and aggressively demands I take them all out of the packaging right there, which took forever with all the wire ties and plastic strap things. He yelled at me the whole time while...

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

Multiple times, I really truly thought I was not going to get out of the car because the ride was so brutally rough, the lap bar would click about 3 clicks past what was comfortable. I've also heard that the Brady Bunch almost died when a camera wasn't mounted properly on the Racer and a...

    Disneyland Honeymoon

We are Disney World veterans, but have never been to Disneyland, so we are having a hard time dealing with wanting to stay on property but also not wanting to spend $338 a night for Pixar Pier! Does anybody know when the prices drop or have other suggestions? Any other ideas of what to do in LA...

News Sweet Spells to close for Toy Story store?

I am allowed to be sadder than anyone else since this is where I did the majority of my CP. I can confirm that the profit on apples is extreme, but I'm not sure how that would compare the profit on toys an whatever else. I just wish I had a Sweet Spells apron... :angelic:

    Mr Toad's Wild Ride

I remember riding it a lot when I was 3, but I very distinctly remember being totally disillusioned and somewhat heart-broken when I turned the wheel left and the car went right. Prior to, I really thought I was doing a bang-up job driving.

What is going on with the air conditioning at WDW?

I worked on Sunset back in my day. The AC in Legends of Hollywood broke in the summer and since only one or two CMs were in there at a time, it wasn't a huge priority. I had a manager that was a little crazy wouldn't let you roll your sleeves up since you were technically inside (you could only...
