MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

I know this won't happen but Paris could really do with MK sending over their fully functioning yet now redundant boat.

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

I was honestly disappointed with the HKDL Arendelle which did get me a bit concerned about Paris. I thought the land felt so small and cramped, the floor space of the land felt only marginally bigger than the plaza in front of Frozen Ever After at Epcot. Out of all the four mini-lands outside...

HKDL gets new castle, frozen land and marvel land.

As much as I'd love a night parade at DLP I don't think one fits in their requirements operationally. October to December they have their Halloween and Christmas seasons with Christmas already having a night version of a day parade. January to February is off-season where a night parade would...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Sorry for the triple post but this just came to mind... I doubt DLP are going to be this coordinated but now would be a good time to cover the outside queue whilst the attraction is down.

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

I have a feeling Marni disagrees from when I said this before but I prefer the current facade over the original version that was black (and typically faded) and had 2-D cut outs of the Little Green Men. Plus I always think if you walk into Discoveryland and don't turn around you never need to...

MAGICal DLP News, Rumours & Thoughts

Did you ever hear of a steampunk Stitch retheme for this? Unsure if it was ever more than just a blue concept idea but with the popularity of Stich in Paris and the recently successful film I was still holding out hope it could come true.

News Disney’s Fiscal Full Year and Q4 2024 Earnings Results Webcast

I know it means nothing as an accounting loss can be taken at anytime but I note that they depreciate the cruise ships over 40 years which for those who think the Magic and Wonder are going soon could see them hanging around for a little longer than some expect.

July and August are the slow months now due to the heat.

Urban sprawl comes to WDW....Reflections, a Lakeside monstrosity.

It's quite a complex issue that is really based on anecdotal evidence as we have no access to the data but I'd say these are a few contributing issues > Lack of Studios versus the multi-bedroom villas > The cheaper room views always go first as DVC members use their points frugally not...

News Contemporary Resort Refurbishment Schedule through Mid-2026

Hopefully the next Contemporary Tower room refurbs take inspiration from the Bay Lake Tower refurb.

DCL Buys Unfinished Mega Cruise Ship - Genting Golden Dream ???

Perhaps. Although I feel like the OLC/Tokyo ship is more likely to have an exclusive friend.

The shoreside mobile barge having being themed is a good touch.

DHS Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I don't think it was said in the thread that 'Pixar Place' wasn't meant to exist when Toy Story Land opened. I am pretty sure it did close for a while and only reopened when park ops saw it as some quick and easy capacity by adding the Incredibles to the area.

    Thinking DVC, yet again :D

My Home Resort is AKL so if you have any more questions I'll try and answer them. I am concerned about what the refurbished rooms will look like. If we lose the traditional African aspects for Lion King pictures it will be a disaster but I am hopeful the refurb is coming at a time when the DVC...

Did Disney Mix Up the Names? The Treasure and Adventure Ships Seem Switched!

I have a feeling the Treasure was going to be called the Adventure but then there was the curveball that Chapek bought the Global Dream 2. I think the Disney Adventure is a more 'generic' name which fits a standalone/first of it's kind/entry to market DCL ship whereas in the Western market we'll...

Japan Trip Booked - Your Recommendations or Advice?

I'm sorry if this contradicts what The Empress Lilly just said but I've visited Tokyo last month and Journey was my favourite attraction at DisneySea, honestly one of my favourite rides of all time, so I'd certainly make sure you ride it. I rope dropped it on my first day (with Happy Entry)...

It's a Small World with Groot

I rode it recently and it was awful. I hadn't been to Tokyo for years so didn't realise IASW also had the Disney characters in it so found it completely overwhelming to have Disney, Pixar and Marvel characters in it, when I came off I joked the ride was missing something... Star Wars...

Transformative Multi-Year Expansion Announced for WDS Paris

It's honestly quite overwhelming and almost unbelievable for DLP to have such a strong and logical 5 year plan. Plus it is quite typical for DLP to throw in something unexpected either from an entertainment point of view or a significant refurbishment and plussing. And in the grand scheme of...
