    Harry Potter....and it looks amazing

It looks great... that's for sure. But is getting in the queue for a ride that many people cannot or will not ride the only way to see this? That's a bit of a shame. I would like to have seen Hogwarts as an attraction in and of iteself (maybe a family friendly dark eide?), rather than a shell...

WDW expansion and new attractions announcement - what do you think?

I think they built that ride and called it "Expedition Everest."

Fantasyland Blueprints; A Viral Marketing Scheme?

OTOH, if you're trying to get people talking and jazzed, that WOULD be the image you wanted projected, isn't it?

Fantasyland expansion a go - CONFIRMED

Was it VERY recent? I rember quite recently that he or she was posting that no major FL announcment would be made at D23, and that idf one WAS made, it'd be limited ot the LM e-ticket. I'm just glad to hear that all the nagativity was non-sense. My family is planning our next triup fro...

Well, Universal may think WDW announcements are pending...

Oh c'mon you nostalgia freaks... MtM was so dated and cheesy, it was almost painful (well, I kinda feel that way about CoP too...), But I do miss Alien Encounter. Scared the bajeebus out of me!

    Disney discontinuing resort specific merchandise.

Wow... if true, this is really, really stupid. I'd certainly buy less merch.

    original tiki room

Not the best attraction in the joint, but it isn't THAT bad. It's always full every time I see it. My daughter (7) loved it. I thought is dark and cool (as in NOT hot). I think it's definitely better than the old version.... at least for me. Then again, I wish they would demo Jungle Cruise...

    The New Fantasyland

Well, I AM the father of a young girl... though I expect she'll be getting out of her "Princess Phase" by the time this expansion is done. But I gotta tell ya, I think you're all wet. I think this new expansion looks like a great addition, and I think it will pull in the punters. Sure, I'd...

    The New Fantasyland

If you look at the new pooh area, I think it looks more like the current Ariel Meet and Greet.... mainly a queue area for the the character meet, but with some playground-type features to keep the chillins entertained while waiting.

    The New Fantasyland

It says "Belle Attraction." The area is too small for a dark ride. I don't know what it is. I doubt it's just a themed "meet and greet" since there are other spots on the prints labelled as Meet and Greet (Ariel and Pooh).

    The New Fantasyland

    The New Fantasyland

Bah! Why all the hate for BatB? That movie is GREAT!!!!! No one stomps around wearing big boots like Gaston!!! Don't get me wrong, I'd love a SB DR though..... Maleficent is my favorite eBil Witch.

    Fantasyland rehab/updated approved!

I hadn't visited DLR until I went there for a conference. Now I've been back a couple times. It's a place of contrasts for me. On the one hand, it's packed with goodies. The attractions are great (love the Indy ride) and being a POTC fan, it was fantastic seeing DLR's version which is (sadly)...

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

I suggest we give this topic a miss. I think you may not be so schooled on the science, but rather than get into a pointless argument (we're unlikely to change minds), I can agree that this topic is controversial enough that it shouldn't be included... yet.

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

Even that, strictly speaking, isn't true. Chinese printing methods used moveable blocks, and a dutch type system based on wood cuts was invented in 1430's. Gutenburg's innovation was to used precise cast letters, which made mass production practical. Though don't get me wrong... Gutneburg's...

Eddie Sotto's take on the current state of the parks

I find some of the Blogger's comments..... questionable. I think both Test Track and Mission: Space are improvements. I'd like to see more attractions like those. I was never a huge fan of the "original EPCOT Center" concept, in that such approaches are doomed to be quickly outdated, and very...

    Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique Question

Just did the BBB with my daughter this last trip. We did the middle package, because DD already had her dress. The princess swag runs between $100-$150, so it's not a terrible deal, if you intend to buy some otherwise. I was pretty skeptical about the BBB experience, but I havta say, my...
