After having the night to think about it, here are my thoughts. My general feeling is that "Epcot Forever" is kind of like the "Philharmagic" of fireworks shows. It's really just a mish-mosh of different songs that you might know, except for the majority of people the songs are really obscure...

Watching from the showcase plaza it seemed like the laser from AA was working overtime. It was doing all kinds of neat things, including some sort of fan movement where the fan was filled with circles. It felt pretty epic at times. Also I thought the lights were put to good use.

Skyliner line at 9:25 ETA: with one period of brief loading slowness we got on in 20 minutes.

Patiently waiting .. got this spot at 8:40.

I hadn't tried in several years for Illuminations (since they put fastpass+ in), but were they still allowing seating on the "stage" in showcase plaza depending on the winds? Any word on if they'll allow it for Epcot Forever?

Even better, they sent us the Simba magnets, even though we didn't sign up after they ran out. Guess they checked AP admissions for the day they ran out! ETA: sign ups weren't available til the day after they ran out AFAIK

Any word on parking troubles? About to drive down now and am considering parking at DHS if Epcot is busted.

Also, there was some product placement on the season premiere of "The Rookie"

Gotta say. The final perimeter shot tonight felt like it had extra oomph. One more night to go :-(

That's what I thought too. Though two separate groups coming off the line said "1 of 4". The overhead announcement said "Only 1 elevator is working". *shrug*. We were stopped on the fastpass line outside the hotel door for about 20 minutes without anyone being let in to the rooms. I would...

Tower stopped running due to tech difficulties at around 9:10pm last night. They managed to get 1 of the 4 elevators working, but the standby wait jumped to 85, after having been blanked from 30 while they sorted things out.

It did feel not too bad inside.. but we only made it to the Land before deciding to head to DHS. Still I was super shocked to have to park so far out that late.

That was my theory as well...

How did I miss that? Anyways. Still a lot of people showing up with 2 hours to go.

Showed up at 7:30pm. Had to park in Discover 23. This is the lines at the turnstyles at 7:50pm. Just about an hour to park close. ETA: close is 10pm.. so just over 2 hours to close.

I had the same on my first ride. Definitely noticed the difference on the second ride, when the person in the left pilot seat didn't hit it.

I already miss that view, since they put the new lasers in, it's not quite the same :-(

There's also added factor that some people would ONLY ride if they had a fastpass, because they're just averse to waiting more than 30 minutes for a line. Of course that could also be offset by those without a fastpass who would now wait on line because the lines are less than an hour :)
