DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

As @Mr. Sullivan has pointed out Monsters indeed has aged well.

The is no room. Toy Story is to one side a d MMRR is on the other. GE is directly behind it.

And despite no Monsters 3, that IP is receiving a new land. Interesting.

Plenty of parking lot behind it.

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I'll miss Muppets as much as anybody but I'm confused by the logic of saying that the 24 yo Monsters IP won't work but the even older Muppets should stay. If anything, the Muppets have shown they're still beloved. But I'm also hopeful for Monsters. Its the best franchise that could follow (not...

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Why? Is it not making money?

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

You did hit on one thing. They need to announce what's replacing Star Wars Launch Bay. But they just reopened Little Mermaid and reset Disney Jr. for summer so those aren't going away any time soon.

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I guess with a coaster to absorb guests, they could reduce theatre size.

Where? Pre show, theatre, and exit. If anywhere, possibly a portion of the coaster building toward the front. They do this with Figment.

The fountain looks great. Hope they retain Miss Piggy and other figurines and at least reinstall them as statues near RnRC.

Not thrilled with the name either. But I get it. Instead of "Globe", it's "Glob." While I would have preferred "Monstro", I can understand why they renamed it. It's the same name as the whale in Pinocchio.

Its already set up for 3D with the multiple projectors in the back so a retheme shouldn't be that difficult. Put in a new 3D movie. They could re-skin the AAs. The penguin orchestra pit becoming something may be expecting too much. But a live action Sullivan would be great.

WDW Interesting Promo for Elio (Beaming up Spaceship Earth?)

Clip is cute. I just got bad vibes of Disney not realizing they're making fun of the loss of a WDW attraction. Bad timing if anything.

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

I agree with everyone. Nothing can top Muppets. But if they had to replace it with another IP, Monsters seems like the best fit. Crazy characters. Same type of humor. Relatable. Here's hoping they're smart utilizing everything MV3D had -- a great show, AAs, effects, live characters, etc. add to...

News New Kid Zones and Character Experiences Coming to Walt Disney World Summer 2025

WDW needs more character interactions, like Disneyland, and not just M&Gs. HT @Drew the Disney Dude

WDW Interesting Promo for Elio (Beaming up Spaceship Earth?)

Interesting way to promote Elio. With WDW removing four attractions (MV3D, ROA, RSI, Liberty Belle) within the span of one month, this seems tone deaf to me.

News Western Way Expansion and Interchange Redesign

I returned from a DLR trip last month and booked a night for a hotel room in Flamingo Crossing before I drove home the next day. Just to get there from the airport car park, I had to drive down I-4, turn onto Osceola Parkway, exit onto Buena Vista Drive, and turn left onto Western Way to get to...

DHS MuppetVision 3-D's Future: Potential Disney Park Venues and Vision Pro Immersive Experience

I can't speak to MV3D's popularity at DCA but I was at DLR May 16-20. I decided to watch Mickey's Philarmagic in DCA just because, although I've seen it multiple times in MK. It was painfully obvious that "Muppet Vision 3D was here" because the unused balconies are still in the theatre. It...
