4 Walt Disney World Resorts to accept dogs

Not sure it's "hate" per se, more of a worry/fear that their vacation would be ruined by some anonymous pooch. The worst case scenario phobia run amok -- OMG! Dogs will poop on everything and stink up the entire resort! My allergy will kick in at a quarter mile and life at WDW will never be...

What was the best part of your last trip??

Last trip was this year at the end of April, supposedly for my parents "last" trip. They wanted to celebrate everything -- their 62nd anniversary and their 80th birthdays. It was wonderful, just taking everything slow and getting to relax. They loved having an afternoon snack and drink at...

    Planning a solo trip!

On solo trips, I prefer to stay in a deluxe mainly because I tend to relax more. Coffee on the balcony in the morning, glass of wine in the evening. But, that's not important to everyone, so stay where you're comfortable. I also usually rent a car, but will probably use DME this next trip...

    Parks gone to the dogs...

On a recent trip, I saw several fake service dogs. One was a Pomeranian, sitting on a bench next to the woman. When she left the bench, she put him in a big satchel to carry him. Emotional support dog, maybe? The second questionable service dog was a pug mix of some sort, pulling on his...

    What's your "Go To" Souvenir?

Pins. Used to get a few Vinylmation until they changed the mold. Books. Soundtracks. One "pricey" item unique to that particular trip -- a Pandora charm, small piece of art, a watch, glassware. And always try to hunt down something with a favorite character.

What To Do When Your Travel Partner Backs Out!?

I had a friend cancel a week before leaving. I should have seen it coming because she never booked her flight - kept saying she was going on a buddy pass with an airline employee friend. I went anyway and had a great time. Got a lot of mileage from the "my friend bailed at the last minute"...

    Whispering Canyon Change

I was staying at the Wilderness Lodge last week and the shenanigans were still going on. Otherwise someone had an insatiable appetite for ketchup. :)

    Crystal Palace now offering alcohol

You'll need to be a bloated, happy inebriated guest. Schoferhoffer is only 2.5% abv. ;)

    Disney Inspired Pet Names??

I have a corgi named Thumper. :inlove: He is just as stubborn and ornery as his namesake.

Favorite TS Breakfast (Inside or Outside the Parks)

Oh, so many to choose from! Personal favs (in no particular order): Boma, (Tusker House is similar food but with characters), Whispering Canyon Cafe (for the ketchup shenanigans) and Trattoria al Forno, which is now, sadly, a character meal.

    Caring for Giants Tour?

My sister and I did this back in October. Well worth the money. There was an AP discount at the time too. There's a short drive out to the behind-the-scenes viewing area, but you spend the majority of the "tour" viewing the elephants. You do have to go up some stairs to get to the viewing...

Thank you! I'm always amazed that people have the patience/luck/free time to find these.

Might you be so kind as to share how to view said Easter Egg? Especially on this appropriately timed weekend. ;)

What do you do after coming back from parks?

I travel solo or with all adults. Most days after we leave the parks it's for a nice dinner. Other days we head back to the resort to watch the Electric Water Pageant and have a nightcap in the lounge. If we're staying at WL or AKL, sit a spell by one of the fireplaces or relax on the rooms'...

News Return to Sleepy Hollow event 2018

True, but my sister and I opted for this because it was such a better price point than MNSSHP. As much as I may love the holiday parties, some trips they can be cost prohibitive.

News Return to Sleepy Hollow event 2018

Did this last year for $38. It included the movie, priority photo op with the Headless Horseman, small cooler type bag filled with candy, a large bag of popcorn, special event pin and lanyard. Aside from the goodies, the atmosphere was kinda cool -- especially since you can hear the horses...

    Dining With an Imagineer

It's been a few years since I did this, but it is well worth the $$ for a nice meal and getting to pick the brain of an Imagineer. I was extremely lucky because we had Jason Grandt as our Imagineer and he was excellent. Two hours well spent and worth every penny. That signed plate remains in a...
