    Food obsession-good or bad?

Yeah we have found some great food in NJ as well.

    Food obsession-good or bad?

We’re Italian so food is a big part of our lives! That being said, and living so close to numerous amazing eateries in NYC, we definitely do NOT go to WDW for the food. We tend to grab something quick for breakfast and/or lunch, then enjoy a sit-down meal together in a place with good food and...

How long will you enjoy theme parks, or how long DID you enjoy the rides?

My husband is 53 and this was pretty much his feeling at the end of each day, too. His back gives him trouble and the pain and heat had him quite grumpy on some nights when we took our daughter and her friend last month (both 20 y.o.). We’re planning to take a two-year break (not my idea lol)...

Rumor Brazil (and maybe others) Pavilion Coming to Epcot [not about Brazilian people nor a country wish list]

I guess I have a weird kid, too. She has loved WS since she was 4 (she just turned 20!). Loved the food, loved wandering around and exploring, loved the attractions, etc. She even loved the original ride in Mexico, and cried when I told her they’d changed it lol. She misses Maelstrom. Epcot is...

Grand Floridian Garden - Outer Building Help

Conch Key has always been our sentimental fave, probably because that was where we were on our first awesome stay. Aside from that, though, we love its close proximity to the dock, which is great at night when you’re coming back from the MK and your feet and legs are so very tired. Another...

Suggestions for first trip to Food and Wine fest?

We enjoy the fest in general and the food booths quite a bit. Yes, portions seem to be getting smaller, and they really add up. Our DD has loved the fest since she was about 5 - this kid loves to eat! We haven’t attended since 2016 because she’s a college kid now; we all really miss it. We go...

What Disney resort/park food did you like so much, that you made it at home?

I fell in love with the tropical creme brûlée from Citricos and have made that a few times. It was tricky to find the same tropical fruit purée as they use, but finally found them on amazon, and they are not cheap - it tasted exactly like the restaurant’s version! I’ve also made Canada’s...

    Ideas for 10th birthday dinner?

What are some favorite foods of the birthday kid? My daughter is not so young anymore, but has loved dining at La Hacienda in Mexico since it opened. Food is tasty, decor is fun and if you time it right, you can watch illuminations from your table. Would he prefer a character meal, though?

Disney to expand cancellation fees to all table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

Yes, it happened twice in 10 years, other than that, we keep all our ADR's - we are always excited about our next meal! I imagine that the folks who make 2-5 ADR's for the same time to cover themselves have more to do with the new policy than little ol' me, who called to cancel when we weren't...

Disney to expand cancellation fees to all table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

Ehhh, as I said, not ed off as we always keep all of our ADR's, except for those 2 times over the last 10 years (and we did call). I just won't make that 8:30 Cape May Cafe breakfast ADR anymore...it's a killer getting there from the GF so early. So many helpful suggestions, though...

Disney to expand cancellation fees to all table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

Are you saying that when you and your family are on a fun, relaxing vacation, you never, ever change any plans at the last minute? I find it hard to believe that anyone can be so rigid on a vacation. Again, this has happened twice in 10 trips and out of probably 150 total ADR's. I'm not saying...

Disney to expand cancellation fees to all table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

I never said we just didn't show up...we would never do that. I usually make anywhere between 10 and 16 ADR's per trip. Twice in 10 trips, we changed our minds about an early breakfast ADR. Do you really believe that not having the energy, towards the end of an 8-day trip, shows a low level of...

Disney to expand cancellation fees to all table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

But it's not better for everyone, as I posted above. I am an honest person, and if my family awakens too tired to trek from my resort to a faraway resort for the early breakfast we had planned 6 months before, we are screwed out of $30...how is that better for everyone?

Disney to expand cancellation fees to all table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

Our family vacations at WDW the same way...I make all ADR's at 180 + 10 days out because I enjoy doing it and we have certain favorites and new places at which to dine for every trip. Sometimes, though, life happens and my husband and/or daughter just won't feel like eating at the planned...

Disney to expand cancellation fees to all table service restaurants at Walt Disney World

While I can certainly understand this move from a business point of view, as an honest guest of WDW, this can be a potential pain-in-the-bum...picture a morning, and this has happened once or twice in our many visits, that we've awoken and felt that the long trek from the GF to, say, the Cape...
