    Fort Wilderness Planning Tips

My understanding is that Disney uses these terms to differentiate between size of pad, Internet access and location. from allears.net: The Premium Site is billed as "big-rig" friendly. They accommodate RVs larger than 45 feet in length and those that have multiple slide outs. The sites are...

    Brazilian Tour Groups

I agree. Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule - there are some great teens out there! - but I think it comes with any group of teens, away from their parents, underchaparoned, excited, etc. And then add on the cultural differences equation, and then you have, well, the complaints...

Yeah, when you start talking about placing your hands on anyone, that's definitely asking for trouble!! The whole possible police matter aside, you just never know what the other person is going to do back, either. If you see any possible line cutters coming, spread out your body...

    Diaper prices in WDW?

I thought Garden Grocer was pretty expensive for diapers - I looked in to just having them delivered to the Resort instead of putting them in the suitcase. We do use Huggies, and a pack of size 5s, 27 count, was $13.99. On top of that is a delivery charge (I think it's $12??). I paid $10.99...

Why is privacy an issue at WDW?

I just don't worry about it. Like a PP said, it's not an actual fingerprint recording. It's a measurement of certain parts of the fingerprint. I'm very tight with my personal information, but they're not asking for a retnal scan or my SSN. Just a fingerprint measurement. Not too worried...

    Star Wars Cantina

We would so totally be there!! I've always thought that WDW needed more boy-oriented character meals. Not that girls wouldn't like this, but there are just so many princess meals. Our boys need something, too. DS6 has watched Star Wars IV about 4 times in the past three days. Yeah, he'd...

    a lil' resort help....

Have you considered staying in one of the villas? Bay Lake Tower opens next week (I have no idea about the rates). You might want to price the villas around the World in lieu of 2 rooms. Also, not sure how open you are to the values, but there are the family suites at the All Stars.

Which do you usually choose -- Free Dining or a room discount?

This was 2006, and tips were included with DDP. It wasn't a 40% off discount, either, it was less - there wasn't anything in the OP that said we had to stick with a 40% discount on this discussion. I don't think you meant to have a bad tone in your original post, but I just got a bit riled by...

    Grand Floridian Staff

It's not uncommon for CMs to use certain phrases at their resort to fit the theme. Last year at Poly, everyone called us "cousin." Even Chick-fil-A says "My pleasure" instead of "you're welcome."

Need Help, What DVC To Stay At?

I would say Bay Lake Towers. I love the interior pictures! I also think with your family situation, you would really like the convenience of the monorail. Our DD was 10 months last year, and now we're taking her at 2. We stayed at the Poly last year, and just being on the monorail with such...

Which do you usually choose -- Free Dining or a room discount?

But it all depends on the math in the situation. Like I said prior, when we had a choice, it was a $200 savings on the room at Wilderness Lodge, or take free dining and save $600 instead. This was a no brainer for us!

If at first you don't succeed...

I was the same way!! I almost didn't notice that it gave me a time, and when I did, I just sat there and stared before I decided to kick that baby into high gear! While there are a few things I'd change about the online system, I do think it gives mroe people a better shot at getting ADRs...

Which do you usually choose -- Free Dining or a room discount?

In 2006, we originally had a $200 discount on our room at the Wilderness Lodge. We ended up forgoing that discount in favor of the $600 savings with free dining and still stayed at WL.
