Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

There is no evidence that it was loose item in a rider's pocket, or another rider or non-rider throwing objects at the train. There is no doubt in my mind it was structural, either from the train or the ride structure. Otherwise they would have publicly stated that a loose item was the cause. A...

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

At worst, injuries caused by falling objects would be minimal bruising. And that's in the slight chance the object actually hits someone. The fact that riders who can secure loose items in zippered pockets are still required to put everything in a locker indicates that this absurd policy is a...

    Universal Studios American Express Lounge

What if you use FlexPay and initially bought the pass with a Visa but currently pay with Amex?

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

It's a ridiculous excuse anyway. There is a greater likelihood of a meteor crashing into the earth than being injured by phones, keys, or other objects falling from a roller coaster (that's the former physics student and theme park employee in me speaking). The injury from Dueling Dragons...

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

You are ridicuous. Universal is absolutely requiring the use of lockers. Keys and phones are prohibited on the Hulk and Rip Ride Rockit. Are you suggesting people should leave their keys in their car? What happens when all the small lockers are unavailable and only the larger lockers are...

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

I believe most rides have some lockers near the loading platforms, so if you notify an employee you should be fine.

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

    1. As I said above, Six Flags doesn't require that everything be placed in lockers, only that it be secured (for items such as cell phones and keys). And not all Six Flags parks have the lockers. 2. Some of the complaints are related to the storage of beverages, which could only be done in the...

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

Because of the resort nature of the parks, Universal in comparison probably won't receive nearly as many complaints, and such behavior most likely will be limited. They'll simply ignore it.

Universal Has Started Charging $2 for Some Ride Lockers

Yes, but Six Flags doesn't require you to put everything, including keys and phones, in a locker. That's the difference.

Difficulty in obtaining a Guest Assistance Pass

Yes, but people without the passes, and who are physically waiting in line, also are unable to do another house during that wait time. GAP-holders aren't entitled to be able to experience more attractions than the average guest.

News Walt Disney World Annual Pass price changes effective October 16 2018

I used to have an AP for several years, but after all the micro-planning required for a trip was implemented, I stopped going. The funny thing is, originally, I only purchased an AP because I happened to be planning two trips to WDW within a 1-year period, and it was cheaper than buying two...

Hulk and Rip Ride Rockit rollercoasters

The Hulk is has 7 inversions and a top speed of 65 mph. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster has a max speed of 57 mph and 3 inversions. The Hulk is definitely more intense. I do enjoy both, and both are definitely thrill rides. Rip Rockit, on the other hand, I find to be a painful, unpleasant ride experience.

    Cinemark replacing AMC

Here in NYC, I can only think of 1 AMC that has reclining seats in all of its theaters, and only two where it has them in only one theater. Since only the blockbusters ever really fill-up any individual theater, I doubt capacity is the biggest issue. Personally, I think they just don't want the...

Universal Counter Service: Can You Break Up a Combo?

I don't know of any meals combos that include a milkshake. That said, you can certainly buy items a la carte.

    Bye bye Mickey soaps?

Not to defend Disney, but I've noticed this trend at other hotels, both here and abroad. And not just budget hotels, but also 4- and 5-star hotels.

Cirque du Soleil purchases the Blue Man Group and their future

Cirque/Blue Man Group are not retail businesses where you can simply move one person from show A to show B. Just knowing the mechanics of a role isn't enough. There's more to it. Look at Broadway shows with multiple companies around the country/world. Yes, cast members rotate in and out of...

    9/29 Both Pandora Attractions Closed

Sometimes with tech issues you never know. 300,000 years ago when I worked at Six Flags, maintenance informed me that my coaster would not be opening with the park and for at least three hours after that. So I went down to "host" the ride entrance. The park opens, I turn away about three groups...

Best time of year to visit?

I've been twice, both times middle of September. The weekdays are dead, with pretty much everything a walk-on or minimal wait at most. Weekends, on the other hand, are crowded.

Queues *not* to skip with Express Passes?

There's a Mummy Tour? There isn't much to see in that queue as it is. I've never done the bank tour, but the castle tour was simply the staff letting you walk through the express pass queue (and I assume it's the same for Gringott's). Since it wasn't in-use, the staff at the merge point knew you...

Queues *not* to skip with Express Passes?

Re: Harry Potter Aren't they now part of express pass? If so then there wouldn't be any more castle or bank "tours." Since those tours utilized the Express Pass queue, you don't miss anything by using Express Pass vs. standby. Same with Transformers. With Express Pass you can still see the...
