In terms of wasted space I think WoL would be at the top of the list. It is a huge chunk of land inside of a park that is useless as it now stands and it is in a prime spot to be used for something to improve EPCOT overall.

Structural problems were not a cause for Horizons demolition, this is simply a myth and urban legend that has been going on for years. No sinkhole, the ride was not "tearing" the structure apart and it was not sinking into the abyss... these are simply myths and legends.
