'Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!'

Sad to hear this news. Nemo became my stage show of choice on property when I did the CP in 2014 (FoLK wasn't running because they were building the new theater at the time) and it was a delight every time. I took my parents to see it when they came to pick me up at the end of my program. My...

Splash Mountain...don't want to get soaked

I've gotten more drenched on Pirates of the Caribbean than on Splash, sadly enough. The cannon effects on Pirates always seem to find me...

News Updates coming to Star Tours - The Adventures Continue inspired by Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker

I had to ride Star Tours five times last trip (September 2018) before I got a single scene or character from the new trilogy. Funny to see others having the opposite issue.

News PHOTOS - Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and other stars from Toy Story 4 visit Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I feel like we're in some kind of Keanussance, with the amount of work he's been getting lately. Between John Wick 3, TS4, and showing up at E3 (for Cyberpunk 2077) - he's everywhere!

News Reflections of Earth confirmed to be replaced by Harmonious

I knew this was coming, thought about it when I was in WDW two weeks ago watching the fireworks - still such a bummer to read this news. Nothing lasts forever, but I have so many memories with Illuminations. From my one and only childhood visit, to having to hear my brother's marching band play...

News Smoking locations updated at the Magic Kingdom

Makes sense. Is the trail going to be completely gone post-Tron construction? Smoke aside it was a beautiful walk, shame to have quiet spaces like that disappear entirely (although with the buzz of a new ride around it, it probably wouldn't be that quiet to begin with.)

News Smoking locations updated at the Magic Kingdom

Glad they moved the Tomorrowland one. The other areas are moderately out of the way and condensed, but walking the trail to Storybook the other night the smokers were spread out throughout a majority of it.

What Disney resort/park food did you like so much, that you made it at home?

I've made myself a PB&J Milkshake (50's Prime Time Cafe) multiple times back home. Not nearly as good as the original, but enough to get me by when I have a craving for one!

News Wishes to be replaced with new 'Happily Ever After' nighttime spectacular

Speaking of music from Wishes, I've got a bit of an odd request. There's the initial announcement audio ("In just 15 minutes…"), which then segued into an orchestral version of "A Dream is a Wish…", and a few other songs. I have tried for years now to find that orchestral audio. If anyone has...

    Favorite Bathrooms? Least Favorite Bathrooms?

I've got a bit of a different perspective here, as I was a custodian in the MK a few years ago. I spent a lot of time in the bathrooms. None were very 'fun' to clean, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be the Splash Mountain ones. Pretty quiet most of the time, loved the soundtrack loop...

What's your favorite restaurant in WDW?

Via Napoli is hands down my favorite restaurant on property. I love the space, love the pizza, and seriously - try the fried mozzarella there if you ever have a chance. I dream about it on the regular. Other places I enjoy - Yak and Yeti QS ($3.50 or so for a giant serving of fried rice is my...

Bye Bye Banjo Brothers and Bob

I used to love watching the Banjo Bros set while waiting for FoF to step off. One time I actually shared an elevator backstage with two of them and was incredibly starstruck. Made sure I let them know that they were great and one of my favorite smaller things about WDW. Really sad to hear this. :(

New castle show Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire to open this summer at the Magic Kingdom

I did a BTS tour of Mansion when I was doing my College Program, and we were told that there were plans in place to bring the overlay in a few years ago, that were eventually axed. The most logical reason being that WDW is more of a 'once in a lifetime' destination, vs the local pull that DL...

PizzeRizzo announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios - Was: Rumor: Pizza Planet/Mama Melrose closing?

Low key glad that the menu will remain the same. I know plenty of people hate Disney Parks pizza, but it was always a guilty pleasure to me. I spent plenty of afternoons there during my college program eating my mediocre pie and relaxing. And as a Muppets fan, I'm looking forward to the new theming!

    Adventureland Smoking Section Removed

I'm no advocate for removing those sections at any means (I understand that smoking is a personal choice!) but as someone who has had to clean those smoking sections, I can say they probably wont be missed by custodial staff. Where was this located in Adventureland? I know it's moved around a...

What ONE Show could you watch all day at the 4 parks

I've got a special connection with Finding Nemo: The Musical over at DAK, so that'd be my pick. I took my terminally ill mother to go see it, knowing fully well that she wasn't a fan of musicals. She was enchanted not only with how the CM's treated her (she was in a wheelchair, and was impressed...

    WDW Awakens ...

This is so upsetting to read. As a formal custodial CM, I cannot believe higher management thought that CDS dispatch for bathroom shifts was the right way to go. It was hard work alone to keep up with my assigned restroom(s) on any given night. Having to move between multiple ones randomly must...

Does the current leadership have pride in the parks.

While this is not an example of higher up leadership, I do have a story that I think of anytime I hear about apathy and lack of care re: lower level leadership in the parks. Without getting into super specific detail, when I was part of the college program, I experienced issues with a...

    Citizens of Hollywood Cuts

I always loved going to DHS on a day off from my college program with no agenda in mind, and always ended up running into these guys. They were a riot and probably one of my favorite parts of the park. What a shame.
