I'm not gonna lie, I'm under the age of 21 but my friends have bought drinks for me many times at Disney and they never asked anything. Granted I was never in plain sight while they bought the drinks, but I guess it depends on the CM?

I'm pretty sure we're not even allowed to take pictures of the characters backstage. I've been backstage at Magic Kingdom before and saw many characters, would've loved to take pictures of them.

I agree. People even wear birthday pins nowadays when it isn't even their birthday, just so they can get 'special' treatment. The best mentality to have is to not expect anything so when something special does happen, it becomes a magical moment.
