News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

When they designed the MF ride Solo had not been released to theaters yet. It's one of the things about rides and movies - they take several years to know if they are a success. That being said, they have at least two more ride scenarios ready to go. My guess is we see one or more added sooner...

I think they cancel / revise them eventually.

Never going to happen. Ever. Falcon is gonna be there for decades to come.

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

Looking at the backstage area, restaurant has already got its plot of land set aside (black), as does M&MRR (red), but everything else is negotiable, and we know Disney is looking at using as much backstage real estate as possible for expansion. Now, who knows exactly how much more they can push...

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

I suspect the eventual 3rd ride will be further backstage, and will likely be a coaster-type ride. Maybe they'll even appease the X-Wing coaster die hards. (An indoor coaster that ends in the "trench run" where you blow up the Death Star (picture moment!) would be pretty sweet.) One thing the...

Emotional Whirlwind Grand Opening & Ride Reviews - Let's Get Excited!

It's actually one less spinner than when Bug's Land was open (which had both Flik's Flyers and Francis' Ladybug Boogie).

There's no way the restaurant, which will likely take a year+ to officially greenlight, build, and open, will open before RotR, which should be open within the next 6 months.

Emotional Whirlwind Grand Opening & Ride Reviews - Let's Get Excited!

I'm kinda expecting it. They could use another dark ride right next to Mermaid (in the shops/Goofy footprint), which may need to push the walkway closer to the water's edge.

News Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Historical Construction/Impressions

Think of this part as the pictures in the Haunted Mansion hallway between the Stretching Room and getting in the actual vehicles. Once you are in the vehicles the ride is more like living in a Sequel Era variation on the escape back to the Falcon on the Death Star for Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie...

I was under the impression that the Bantha-type inspired ride seenin early concept art would have been on tracks on the ground, trolley or Main Street vehicle style.

I have to think the experience of Toon Town's trolley ride also made them hesitant to keep it.

What's with the wait times!? (hint.. they're low)

Re: the ramp - do the ramp truthers have a solution on how to accomplish a ramp entry while not reducing capacity from 50 cockpits at a time to 7 or even 1?

They need to promote this aspect more, like WWHP is able to do with the shop windows. Which reminds me - weren't the droids you buy at the depot interactive to parts of the land, like the HP wands? I've seen some videos of them right after they were built moving around (and that race led by...

What's with the wait times!? (hint.. they're low)

They'd be smart to *decrease* the single day tickets in the coming weeks for the reasons you bring up. Lower it by $10-15 after the 4th of July weekend through mid-August and see if it brings in those non-AP locals that have felt pushed away by the single day prices and AP crowd.

What's with the wait times!? (hint.. they're low)

I'll add that I think the lastest price hike for the AP with no blockouts finally did its job - most of my AP friends who had that pass downgraded to Deluxe or lower which resulted in a blocked out summer. Now the park just needs to get non-locals to increase their summer visits again. The Flex...

What's with the wait times!? (hint.. they're low)

The problem is that it's summer, and Disneyland is a September-April locals park now. I've had six friends of mine say that they're waiting to go in September when their passes open up when I asked about going this Saturday because of the short lines. The AP sales have completely flipped the...

People are waiting to go after the summer. I just posted to a group of friends about going this Saturday, and the first response was this: "Such a good idea. I work Saturdays and my pass doesn't work in the summer. But... September here I come!" I weep for him as it's gonna be a madhouse in...

News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

You keep calling it "Target" Run. Is this some intentional slight towards the ride because you don't like it / the name Smuggler's Run?
