As long as enough consumers are willing to pay, Disney would be stupid not to raise prices. No justification is necessary other than, "the customer is willing to pay it." Maintenance, staffing, etc. Whatever service level complaints there may be (and there are many), it's all background...

The economics of California are such that building a new parks resort in a place like Texas probably makes comparable sense to building a third gate in Anaheim. And building a third US parks resort is not all that sensible.
