I could be wrong, but I don't think the stopping is a timing issue. I actually have the audio track for the onboard engine sound effects, and right at that point you can hear the engine stall, and at the same time in the scene there are rat/bat sounds. I think it's supposed to scare you.

To this day? I'd think at least some of the newer ones would have some sort of keyframing thing.

Imo go but take your time - it's a hot park; sit at a bench, stop for a drink! Enjoy that Epcot was meant to be a less thrilling and more relaxing/informative park
