Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

THERE IS A REASON NOBODY HAS EVER REVIVED "CATS" ON BROADWAY!!!!!!!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

While I've got a list of at least 20 directors I'd rather have been handed the trilogy before JJ, you're absolutely right that the lack of a coherent vision for the trilogy is at the root of most reasonable complaints about it. :-) I'd take a JJ-directed trilogy over how it ended up going...

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I'll watch it anyway, as will probably most people, but the reviews all seem to boil down to "JJ Abrams retconned almost all of TLJ and sidelined Rose Tico to appease the trolls, and then tried to check off 8 movies' worth of items on the fanservice spreadsheet all at once, resulting in an utter...

And now you're guilt-stricken, sobbing, with your head on the floor?

Has RotR changed riders' minds about Galactic Starcruiser?

With the limited quantity of rooms, I expect that even without repeat bookings, there's enough demand to keep it running for years. If they deliver on what they've described (certainly not guaranteed) and periodically refresh the activities and plotlines, there'll be enough repeat "cruisers" to...

Has RotR changed riders' minds about Galactic Starcruiser?

    Around $3000 per 2-night "voyage". It's not a 2-night minimum, it's a fixed 2-night length of stay.

Has RotR changed riders' minds about Galactic Starcruiser?

All the Star Wars fans in my social circle (which admittedly consists mostly, though not entirely, of upper-middle-class couples/families with $100K-$250K annual incomes, but we're hardly the 1%) have been posting that Futurama "Take My Money" meme every time Disney releases even the tiniest bit...

REVIEW - Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Me: "Well, I guess the forum snobs were right after all, WDW guests really are dumber than DL guests. :(" My Wife: "No, DL just has hardly any international tourists, whereas a huge percentage of WDW guests are from outside the US and many of them don't speak English as their first language...

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

We're talking about a post-"cruise" stay at a traditional Disney hotel, not tacking on additional Starcruiser nights. If your point is "if Disney wanted Star Wars fans to visit the parks, they'd let you stay in the Starcruiser for as long as you want", then you clearly still don't understand...

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

We'll see, but I expect them to be available from the start. The Starcruiser is going to attract a lot of people who aren't "Disney people", and it's a fixed-length stay. Many of those people will take a week-long trip to Orlando anyway, and spend the rest of the week at an offsite hotel...

Autism lawsuit court date set Feb 2020

I take Klonopin, which is similar to Xanax. Unfortunately, a whole pill pretty much puts me to sleep for 3 hours, so I have to do a half-dose. That works pretty much like you describe, which is enough for most situations, but for some situations it's insufficient (and sometimes I can't...

Autism lawsuit court date set Feb 2020

True. Honestly, pretty much anywhere except WDW and maybe Universal Orlando is going to have less abuse of disability services. I don't know whether it's driven by the crowds, the lines, ticket costs, unrealistic guest expectations, FP+ being too complicated, or maybe it's just purely a...

Autism lawsuit court date set Feb 2020

Basically. There are other parks that use a 2-tier system (Legoland, for instance), but they're far smaller than WDW. I can't see a reasonable way to make it work at Disney, but the judge does not necessarily have to be mindful of practical constraints. As I see it, there are three possible...

Autism lawsuit court date set Feb 2020

BTW to fellow adults, never be afraid to act like a kid. Judgmental people can stuff it. I found this Niffler plush over at Universal last year that is just exactly the perfect texture my brain needs to soothe my nerves during an anxiety attack. I bring it with me around WDW and anywhere I'm...

Autism lawsuit court date set Feb 2020

You should never have to feel like you shouldn't use your DAS passes freely just because some other people abuse the system. I hope you're using it as much or as little as makes the most sense for your family, but if using it more than you do now would improve your experience in the parks even...

Disney Skyliner shutdown and evacuation - October 6 2019

News Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser coming to Walt Disney World 2021

That's the idea - get people to stay for another 4 days in a traditional resort or hotel and round out a week's vacation with 4-day passes to WDW. I can't imagine they won't offer a combo deal - discounted on-site hotel/ticket package for guests at the Starcruiser.
